Greetings, commander! Reinforcements have arrived from Romanov's Vengeance as Romanov's Vengeance playtest-20221009 has been recently released by their team. For those who are not acquainted with it, Romanov's Vengeance is an RTS game created with OpenRA that is inspired by the Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge universe, featuring: Allies, Soviets, and PsiCorps (Yuri's replacement). Here are the updates from Romanov's Vengeance playtest-20221009:

Crashes:

Selection UI: Fixed a crash with high UI Scale options

Bugs:

Generic:
- Psychic Sensor: No works for the previous owner even though you recaptured it.
- Boris Bukov: Fixed that he can’t target buildings on water
- Dreadnoughts: Fixed the bug that allowed it to shoot while moving

Psi-Corps:
- Boomer: Fixed an issue targeting structures on water with torpedos instead of their long range missiles

Visuals:

Generic:
- Garrisonable buildings: Added flag animation to several buildings when garrisoned
- Commander’s Power Units/Buildings: Are now visible on the production tab even without the CP taken
- Water placement: Fixed that you can place a building half on land, half on water on Urban tileset concrete shorelines
- Service Depots: Vehicles on SDs on water now use their land artwork
- Veterancy: Veterancy icons on the cameos in both selection and production UI have been replaced with the ones from OpenRA RA1

Allies:
- B-52: Fixed that its husk uses the normal allied cargo plane voxel
- Rocketeer: When heroic they no longer rotate and stop facing the direction they are flying towards. This is fixed.

Soviets:
- Armor-Piercing Bullets: Added visuals to Conscripts as well

Psi-Corps:
- Holograms: Fixed that they had missing cameo and no damage shown on the selection UI
- Cosmonaut: When heroic they no longer rotate and stop facing the direction they are flying towards. This is fixed.
- Disc Pad: Added a buildup animation
- Yuri Statue: Added a buildup animation

Audio:

Generic:
- We disabled the following functions for RV: Ambient sounds on the maps; Sounds for tech structures like Oil Derricks; All army movement sounds (air and naval); Ground has already been disabled since 2021; Animal sounds: Due to OpenRA’s abysmal sound engine MustaphaTR’s sound advancements cannot be used any longer for RV even though these improvements did draw our game closer to the original RA2. They do break OpenRA’s sound engine causing sounds to overlap and, at some point, not being played at all. Even EVA commands and warnings will no longer be played. Enemy Airstrike initiated being the most important one
These features will stay turned off until OpenRA finally improves its sound engine.

Allies:
- Prism Tower: Fixed that charging sound could be heard through FoW
- Chrono Legionnaire: Fixed that erase complete sound could be heard through FoW

Soviets:
- Tesla Coil/Fence: Fixed that charging sound could be heard through FoW
- Hijacker: Fixed that capture sound could be heard through FoW

Psi-Corps:
- Brute Drop: Added a sound for the shuttles crashing down
- Bio Reactor: Added sounds for entering/leaving

Gameplay:

Generic:
- On Death Vision: Increased the range from half of unit normal vision to full vision. Increased duration from 2 seconds to 5 seconds.
- Beach Tiles: Fixed that vehicle crushers could pass over them
- Battle Lab: Cost from $2000 to $3000. Energy cost from -100 to -150. Build time nerf from 40 to 60 seconds.
- Radar Structures: Increased vision range from 10c0 to 14c0. Build time from 30 to 45 seconds.
- Non-Turreted Vehicles: Can now fire at targets in front of them while moving
- Engineer: Build time from 10 to 15 seconds. HP from 7500 to 10000.
- Miners: No longer slow down upon being loaded
- Amphibious Transport: Speed from 105 to 120. Cost from $900 to $500. Benefits from Grinder Treads now.
- Service Depot: Removed
- Tech Service Depot: Increased buildradius from 8c0 to 12c0. Attackranges of both AG and AA weaponry from 8c0 to 12c0.
- Barracks: Added a self healing aura. It will heal friendly infantry around that structure.
- War Factory: Added 3 repair drones. Repairs damaged friendly vehicles, naval and air units in range. Also removes Terror Drones.
- AFCHQ: Added 3 repair drones. Repairs damaged friendly vehicles, naval and air units in range. Also removes Terror Drones.
- Helipad: Added 1 repair drone. Repairs damaged friendly vehicles, naval and air units in range. Also removes Terror Drones.
- Naval Yard: Added 3 repair drones. Repairs damaged friendly vehicles, naval and air units in range. Also removes Terror Drones.

Allies:
- Scout Drone CP: Vision reveal range from 8c0 to 10c0. Detect cloak from 6c0 to 10c0. Adjusted tooltip stating it detects cloak.
- Satellite Uplink: No longer activates automatically
- Guardian G.I.: HP from 10000 to 12500.
- Rocketeer: Attack range from 5c0 to 4c0. AA range of 5c0 unchanged. Speed from 180 to 150. HP from 15000 to 12500. Cost from $600 to $450. Build time from 10 to 15 seconds.
- Robot Tank: Armor Type from Heavy to Light. HP from 20000 to 25000. Speed from 120 to 135. No longer producible from Naval Yard. No longer deactivates if you happen to lose all Naval Yards. Still bound to warfactories though.
- B2 Spirit: Speed from 180 to 165. HP from 40000 to 35000.
- Dolphin: Cost from $700 to $500. Speed from 120 to 150. Attackrange from 4c0 to 5c0. Vision range from 6c0 to 8c0.
- Aegis Cruiser: Speed from 75 to 90. HP from 30000 to 40000.
- Assault Destroyer: Can no longer crush units on water. Speed on water from 75 to 90.

Soviets:
- Spy Plane CP: Increased vision reveal range from 8c0 to 10c0. Detects cloak from 8c0 to 10c0. Adjusted tooltip stating it detects cloak.
- Helipad: Build time from 10 to 15 seconds.
- Rhino Heavy Tank: Build time from 18 to 20 seconds.
- Stingray: Removed twin burst. Now uses a single charged attack (still same damage output). Heroic Weapon bonus damage removed. Increased movement speed on land from 60 to 75. Cost from $1200 to $900. HP from 35000 to 30000.
- Sea Scorpion: Cost from $700 to $600. Speed from 90 to 120. HP from 15000 to 20000.
- Giant Squid: Vision range from 6c0 to 8c0.

Psi-Corps:
- Psychic Reveal CP: Increased vision reveal range from 8c0 to 10c0. Detects cloak from 8c0 to 10c0. Adjusted tooltip stating it detects cloak.
- Disc Pad: Build time from 10 to 15 seconds.
- Cosmonaut: Attack range from 5c0 to 4c0. AA range of 5c0 unchanged. Heroic weapon attack range from 6c0 to 4c0. Heroic weapon bonus damage removed. Now shoots twice. Heroic AA range from 6c0 to 5c0. Speed from 180 to 150. Cost from $800 to $600. HP from 15000 to 12500. Build time from 10 to 15 seconds.
- Lasher Tank: Build time from 13 to 15 seconds.
- Annihilator Artillery: Reworked it: Weapon channels attack first (kinda like Obelisk of Light).
- Lethocerus Platform: Now has a 360° attack
- Mosquito Disc: UI attack speed of 11 is wrong. This is Fixed. Now has a 360° attack. Spawning Blood Vessels upon killing 3 infantry units does not work. This is Fixed.
- Leech Disc: Now shows a progress bar above it when stealing tech from Battle Labs. Now has a 360° attack. Attackrange nerf of both AG and AA weapon from 7c0 to 6c0. Heroic weapon range boost from 9c0 to 8c0.
- Piranha Sub: Unit has been removed.
- Gatling Submarine: Cost from $1100 to $900. HP from 200 to 300. Increased AA range from 8c0 to 12c0.
- Strider Tank: Build time from 20 to 15 seconds. Cost from $900 to $700. Moved from T2 to T1. ArmorType from Heavy to Light. Speed on water from 75 to 105. Benefits from Grinder Treads now.
- Mutant Crab: Increased attack range from 1c856 to 2c128. Adjusted damage versus: Heavy: 90 to 100; Wood: 75 to 100; Steel: 65 to 100; Concrete: 50 to 90. Speed on land from 60 to 75. Speed on water from 90 to 105. HP from 40000 to 50000. Vision range from 6c0 to 8c0. Updated tooltip that it can remove Giant Squids. Use for attack on your own units just like with Dolphins.
- Advanced Magnetics Upgrade: Has been removed

Maps:

Edited:
- Bloodshed Reef: Reworked
- Tournament Dustbowl: Removed 4 civilian structures. Added some stylistic changes. Adjusted spawn points. Added another Ore Drill on each starting field.
- Alpine Assault: Removed one Ore Drill from the middle.
- Borrowed Time: South position is too close to ore field fixed. Removed a few monkeys.
- Cabana Republic: Corrected starting position on the right.

OpenRA is open source. You can try to fix it yourself.

Oh, man! You are right. What a disaster Laughing. It's an RV patch, not Shattered Paradise. I'll fix the news ASAP. I was careless and distracted and the fact that they had to merge both Discord Channels doesn't help in a moment like that.

Update: It should be fixed now.

The irony is that this topic really needed repairs (look at the topic description, which was unchanged).
