Welcome back, commander! Reinforcements have arrived from Open Hard Vacuum as OpenHV 20221030 has been recently released by their team. For those who are not acquainted with it, Open Hard Vacuum is a game that uses OpenRA Engine and it is inspired by an old game called Hard Vacuum, which ended up not being released at all, except for its art graphics.
Here are the changes and the fun stuff from OpenHV 20221030:

Quote:

  • Added the Ore Smelter to be the hacker pod counterpart.

  • Added Grass/Sand/Snow to Tech transitions.

  • Added the Flag Post to act as a strategic victory point.

  • Added new artwork for faction-specific gun turrets.

  • Fixed cube hunter starting unit deploying into outpost.

  • Fixed advanced pods being visible in the first mission.

  • Fixed wrong faction barracks in the second mission.

  • Fixed trade platform exits to avoid blocking.

  • Fixed AI engineers trying to capture bunkers.

  • Fixed missing player mute   icon crashing the game.

  • Fixed lightning/plasma tower building footprint.

  • Changed the Tech Reconstructor artwork to match other tech buildings.

  • Increased Grand Howitzer range to cover the whole map.

  • Removed map Waterbridgeworld

This will probably receive another release soon. The project got a TON of reports in these days. Then again, this was a stopgap betatest release pretty much to catch up to OpenRA development enginewise.

Yup, here's some pictures that arrived after this news was posted:

More tile transitions for mappers.


Unique turrets for each faction.


Many pathfinder regressions were fixed.


The ore smelter is now the faction-specific counterpart to the hacker pod for late game economy.


The Reconstructor was redesigned to look more industrial and match the other tech buildings.
