Is there a Train logic tutorial for TX?
Subject description: Since (tx.strategy-x.com) does not exist anymore or C-gen...
Hello there, it has been a while that I was part of the C&C Modding community so I am a bit outdated in terms of modding knowledge. I was wondering due to my recent comeback is there a Train Logic tutorial for Red Alert 2 YR with TX (Terrain Expansion) installed available? I am trying to recreate train systems similar to TS but I could not find it anywhere, I remember that http://tx.strategy-x.com had them but the website does not exist anymore and the same goes to C-gen website. So if so can I please have a link? Last edited by warlock on Sat Nov 26, 2022 8:21 pm; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
it works the same as it does in tibsun with a slight difference in the editors GUI. first, make your train and attach
the proper 'followers ID' number to the vehicles. note that it is not 'follows ID' but 'followers'. the ID can be seen
in the bottom left when hovering over the unit.
next make sure that the recruitable flags are set to 1 so the unit can be recruited
now make a taskforce consisting of just 1 locomotive unit
make a script with the train script, move to waypoint works and it will pathfind through the tracks just fine
make a team, add the locomotive and script, and make sure that 'recruiter' is checked
make a trigger, make it fire with action 4 'create team' and create the train team
thats it. action 4 will call up the team, the team will attempt to 'recruit', the locomotive will be recruited, and off
it goes on its script. for multiple trains, make use of the 'group' tags to avoid recruiting conflicts. _________________ visit my moddb profile for .shp downloads and stuff QUICK_EDIT
