Hi there, I bought all the command and conquer games on the EA App. It turned out Tiberium Sun would not work so I installed the unofficial patch I found here:

https://forums.cncnet.org/topic/2606-tiberian-sun-patches-fix-for-the-windows-8-10-menu-problems-and-more/

The game finally started working but none of the mod changes I make appear in game. Does any one know what the problem is?

All I want to do is increase the health and cost of the walls/gates.

I have made the changes using Tibed which I have successfully used to make the same changes in RA2 Yuris Revenge. But it does not work for TS for some reason.

If the only option is to use the XCC mixer, I am also familiar using that for Generals Zero Hour but I would need to know where to find the files to edit and where to save them?

Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: I tried to extract the rules.ini to the tiberium sun folder and edit the concrete wall health and cost but the file will not save as it says I do not have permission.

Okay, it looks like the issue is that my changes to the GDI wall are not working - but that is the only issue. Does anyone know if the GDI Wall is called something other than "Concrete Wall" in the .ini files?

Everything I edit works perfectly ingame except for the walls - the changes don't take effect.

TS is freeware. Modders use TSClient to mod nowadays - https://ppmforums.com/post-608151/tiberian-sun-client/#608151

TSClient has removed GDI wall hardcoding so that its value can be changed.

And never use Tibed for modding. Can use Notepad++ etc. text editors to modify INI files.

Thanks, I was able to change the cost of the wall but it really does seem like the health is not changing.

I put the health to 5000 and it didn't take long for some disk throwers to destroy it.

Check firestrm.ini as well.
