i am "remastering" tibsun original missions. upgrading the maps, adding features to the maps that i think the original missions lack.

recently i tried to flatten Nod's 2nd misson, retaliation. the mission instantly crashes when i use the modified version of the mission. after further testing, i took the original map, and just raised A SINGLE TILE of the ground where the mission starts. i didnt do any crazy things with the map, just raised a sigle tile, and the mission STILL INSTA-FAILED. do any of yall have any idea of what's causing this?

Raising a single shouldn't crash. Check if unmodified map works.

Are you trying it on vanilla TS or TSClient? Can share the map or even the except.txt.

the unmodified map still works. im using TS Client. i did this change in my vanilla TS too, and the map worked. then one time i started my mod again, deleting all previous modifications i did in the game. then the same error started to happen in vanilla TS.

both times that the map worked and failed, the map was extracted from the MIX files, so i dont have any clue of what's happening.

i can't share the file rn cause im in school :/

Disable the "Lost all Nod" Trigger and give it a try. That seems to be what's tripping for you. As for how the original mission avoids tripping that early, I have no idea. You'll want to redo the trigger to have a delay to enable it until after your units enter the area. It's probably some small undocumented thing that final sun scraps when you save the mission again.

ok, I'll try. hopefully this will fix the error. thanks for the help guys!!
