Aloha! Askhati, the leader of Fading Dusk, has recently posted Tiberian Sun: Fading Dusk Beta B00.02. For those who are not acquainted with it, Fading Dusk is a modification for Tiberian Sun: Firestorm. It brings the Forgotten and CABAL to the battlefield, among with new missions and enhanced gameplay. Here are the updates from Tiberian Sun: Fading Dusk Beta B00.02:

Beta B00.02 build, which covers corrections to the previous B00.01 build + new content (units, missions, maps).


New units:

  • Nod: Havoc SSM (deploying tactical artillery)
  • Forgotten: Demolition Dozer
  • Civilian: Cat Bulldozer; Large SUV; Civilian Trawler (5x variants)
  • CivTech: Flak Rover
  • Warlord (SP only): Warlord Raider (buggy); Warlord Howitzer; Warlord AA Truck




New structures:

  • CivTech: Nuclear Silo (gives access to a Nuclear Missile superweapon once captured); Equipment Factory



New art:

  • GDI: Amphibious APC
  • Nod: Pyro Infantry; Ravager Tank; Assault APC; Scorpion AA; Devil's Tongue
  • Forgotten: Technical; Armored Car; Rocket Technical; Flak Wagon; Combine Harvester (unloading); Scrap Tank; Solar Farm (prev Geo Plant); Rocket Rig
  • CSM: Power Plant (prev Solar Plant) + Upgrade; Concrete Walls
  • CivTech: Mercenary Rifleman; Civilian Engineer; Civilian Vehicle Factory (now "Military Factory"); City Patroller
  • player schemes: CSM radar screen animation



New Anims & Audio:

  • OBJMARK1: used to mark objectives in missions
  • FLAME2-directional for Nod Pyro Infantry



New City content:

  • new Brown City structures added (CITY50-57; 60-83)
  • new Garrison structures: YEO-CA Cola Corps; Urban Housing
  • new decorative structures: Rent-A-Room, New Development,
  • Outsource Office, Printer Shop; Infested Colony structure x4



Other changes:

  • GDI: Mammoth Mk.II can no longer be hijacked; Amphibious APC now armed; Sonic Dragoon moves to GDI Space Command faction
  • Nod: Minelayer (empty, half loads) no longer available as Crate Goodie in MP; Attack Trike, Vortex Bomber, Nod Airfield all move to Black Hand faction
  • Forgotten: Floating Barge now requires WF + Scrap Yard to build; Chem Slug lingering damage effect changed
  • CSM: Landing Barge now immune to veins
  • all: Tier 1 AA towers have new weapon effect
  • all: Mobile Shipyards available; deploy in water to create a shipyard
  • all: the Cheater! infantry no longer shows up as a starting unit in MP
  • all: superweapon structures no longer buildable (GDI Ion Cannon Uplink, Nod Missile Silo, Forgotten Missile Silo, CSM Missile Silo); the lobby toggle for Superweapons now only affects Tech structures captured on the map
  • corrections to "Guarded Buildings" list to fix omitted structures
  • new terrain types for mapping: "Brown Water"
  • tiberium more dangerous to infantry
  • Destructible Rocks visible on arctic maps



Client Changes:

  • Password "Okay" button now visible
  • Skirmish map scoring bug fixed
  • new MP lobby toggle: Naval Warfare (on by default; allows the construction of Mobile Shipyards -> deploy these on water -> build naval units from them)
  • new MP lobby toggle: Stalingrad (garrisonable City structures can no longer be repaired, but gain 2x HP)
  • new maps: [2] Sanctuary



Arctic Warfare unit list updated:

  • Nod: Attack Buggy; Assault APC; Scorpion AA; Helix
  • Forgotten: Combine Harvester; Technical
  • CSM: Light Tank art corrected
