Hi everyone! The staff from Rise of the East has recently shared some bits of the recent progress done on their project. For those unaware of what is being written here, Rise of the East is a modification for Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge with Ares and Phobos. It introduces East Asia (China) and GLA from Generals as two new factions to the game. These two factions have single-player campaigns related to them. It uses CnCNet Client for a fully featured multiplayer and many new and exclusive features, balance changes, improvements, a new map editor, and much more! I am working on a better permanent upgrade solution with performance in mind. I will move all upgrades to this method going forward (works with AI teams etc.) and add an upgrade animation for reference.
I also reimplemented Jaeger's old hero ability (single click/automatic portable Chrono) since Otamaa has made it work properly - the previous Ares version would stop working after a while.
