Rise of the East Update (16/08/2023)
Subject description: What is your super power? The ability to create drones out of nowhere!
Welcome back, commander! Rise of the East has some interesting updates posted recently by their team. For those unaware, Rise of the East is a modification for Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge with Ares and Phobos. It introduces East Asia (China) and GLA from Generals as two new factions to the game. These two factions have single-player campaigns related to them. It uses CnCNet Client for fully featured multiplayer and many new and exclusive features, balance changes, improvements, a new map editor, and much more! Here is what you need to know about the progress on Rise of the East posted on their Discord channel some days ago:

Fresh out of the INI dog lab: USA Drones getting an upgrade, the "Drone Carrier" GP is being reworked into "Combat Drones" and comes with two new SPs when selected:
Support Drone Installation and;
Repair Drone Installation
These SPs work on any USA MBT and some USA support units (e.g., M1A1, Paladin Tank, Crusader Tank, UN M1A2, Tomahawk Launcher, Drone Carrier)
What does this mean for the Drone Carrier itself? USA won't have the Shatterer anymore, and DC becomes their permanent T2 siege unit - and yes, the upgrade also works on DCs
The Drones will spawn after a short delay and will be automatically replaced when destroyed. They will promote with their host's rank but will not assist with promoting their host.
Special abilities such as the Paladin's missile interceptors are not affected by this upgrade and will continue working without issues. The same goes for the UN M1A2 repair system and Drone Carrier's Combat Drones.
For balance and aesthetic reasons, the drones are not controllable and will not leave their host's vicinity.
