Hi everyone! VectorIV, the leader of Zero Hour Enhanced, has recently posted some of the progress done with Zero Hour Enhanced. For your information, Zero Hour Enhanced is a modification for Command & Conquer Generals: Zero Hour that enhances the gameplay experience of the game according to VectorIV's visions. Here is the official announcement from Zero Hour Enhanced:

Hello, my fellow sussy bakas. It looks like we're continuing the PLA shiny buildings series. This time features the Airfield, 2nd tier technology building: the Weapon Research Center and the Internet Center.

When talking about military airplanes, have you ever come across those news videos titled something like "1000 Chinese fight jets VIOLATING Taiwanese airspace for the 69th time in this week alone. OMG, they're about to invade the island as we speak. WE NEED TO MOBILISE RIGHT NOW. MUST SHOOT THE SPY BALLOON DOWN."

Well, you should if you're not living in Sealand or something, or god forbid, you watch the news on TV. What they failed to tell you is that the government of Taiwan's claimed airspace (and this is according to their official Air Force website) overlaps with mainland China by a pretty big margin. Like, holy shit, LOOK:

No ztyping wonder why there's an airspace violation once, like every ztyping week lmao. Technically, it's not a complete lie, but it's not a complete truth either. I wonder if we have a word to call such a convenient sussy concept? (read the previous blog)

But what could they possibly gain from omitting such an important piece of information, I wonder? Could it be that they wanna paint the PRC as the bully that keeps saber-rattling at this tiny island a couple of kilos off their coast so that anyone who keeps spilling this narrative could have an excuse to keep selling weapons and potentially start nuclear armageddon? Or maybe a certain someone or rather some entity is getting a little, just a little, too bloodthirsty? (If you're disregarding every other shit going on in the world right now, then sure.)

What kind of person or people would do such a thing? Go on the internet and lie about it? That can't be... But they're so well dressed, and, err, the anchor is so cute, and their news graphics are so well done. They can't be lying to me this whole time. Well, if you pretend that that map above doesn't exist, then yeah, sure, I guess. But that's just ignoring reality at this point, and that's just really sad. But--- what do I know? I'm just a dumb ztype peasant on the internet, right? ¯\_(?)_/¯

Er, now, where were we? Oh, that's right: warplanes and their airfields. Did you know that the Chinese Airfield helipad is a reuse of the texture from the USA Airfield with a terribly modeled emblem piece placed in the center? Well, now you know. You can thank me later for ruining your cherished childhood memory. You're welcome.

And that's not all. More or less like the vZH USA Airfield, the Chinese Airfield generally feels empty and not well built. There's suspiciously a lack of fences, slabs, and doors. As you well know, people in socialist countries didn't know that the concept of a door existed and hadn't even invented it yet.

Now, with the new remastered ZHE PLA Airfield featuring the new helipad texture, new metal roof supply storage, slabs, fencing, and actual doors, the Airfield has never looked so sturdy.

Alongside other features from a previous structure such as shiny roofs, vents, animated tarps, and a shit ton of props, the Airfield now feels like an actual functioning airfield with the only thing lacking is the operators themselves (all staged actors btw.) But I'm not gonna add that because my computer would cease to exist, and so is my will to continue living.

Up next, the PLA Weapon Research Center has received some small updates to its previous iteration, such as shiny roofs, 3D doors, better fencing, rounder fans, more vents, animated tarps, better clutter, and a new poster. I was already mostly happy with the design and layout of the previous prototype, so this is just a light touch-up with the addition of other fancy and new flavor stuff.

And finally, the PLA Internet Center, AKA the gateway in and out of the Great Firewall, but people just use VPN anyway.









In vZH, the Internet Center's second tier of satellite hack upgrade has this comedically large satellite dish on the very top of the main building. Now, I don't know about you, but personally, I think that looks terrible. The reason is that there are just too many animated dishes in this one building.

So, with that in mind, I decided to change up the layout of the satellite upgrades in their entirety. Now, the left wing of the building will open up with a small satellite dish when the 1st tier of the satellite hack upgrade is completed, while the right wing of the building will open up with the comedically large satellite dish when the 2nd tier upgrade is completed.

I have to say, I really like how it turned out. The asymmetrical layout is nicer if you ask me, and having just two dishes helps unclutter the building a bit. And with the usual visual upgrades such as shiny roofs, 3D doors, rounder fans, animated tarps, and contemporary posters, the *remastered* Internet Center is done, and so is this update blog.









PLA Airfield The same old PLA Airfield with shiny roofs, 3D doors, better fencing, metal roof storage, new helipad texture, slab, more vents and fans, animated tarps, and more clutter.









PLA Weapon Research Center The Weapon Research Center from the previous iteration has shiny roofs, 3D doors, better fencing, better clutter, rounder fans, more vents, animated tarps, and even more contemporary posters.



















PLA Internet Center The same old PLA Internet Center with better radar dishes, better scaling, shiny roofs, 3D doors, rounder fans, animated tarps, and even more contemporary posters.
