Well, in order to promote the WH40K: Red Alert mod, I thought I'd post up the Space Marine Land Raider for you all to see.

If you like it, do please stop by our site, and perhaps even leave a comment in our forums?

Enjoy Smile

It kicks ass... however, I think normals can be even better.

Actually, those normals are perfect. I even double-checked them. So is the scaling for that matter. I really dunno why it seems to have small imperfections in the screenie...

Shorter and longer? Erm, thanks for the useful help then. Rolling Eyes

Also I'm rather limited by the voxel medium with regards to the shape: the more accurate the shape, the less clean the lines on the vehicle. I decided to compromise a bit, as it also fits in with my (much) earlier work too.

Ackron wrote that it looks wrong, not Banshee.

Also, I believe he means shorter in height and longer in... length....

I did mean ackron <fixed>.

Well, the angles in the LR are many and varied, but the ones that work best in the voxel editor are 0, 30, 45, 60, 90. So adapting the thing to those angles means that it has been modified a little. You can of course use any angles you want to in the editor, but then you have trouble getting the shape and normals to look smooth.

Also, it is pretty huge! See the attached pic for a scale demonstration #Tongue

it don't need to be flatter... bare in mind he basing it on something which has it's own dimensions and thats pretty accurate, the only sorta problem i see is up the front doors where the little gap for soldiers looks out, it don't look like that on the real land raider

The "gaps" are actually inset steps that run up the door panels, NOT vision-slits.

Guys, if you want to nitpick over shape and details, that's fine. Just look at some pix of the actual thing for comparison first though, ok? I've attached two such pictures so that you can compare better. I think you'll find that length and height are about right.
