How to add a new voice to the game for my campaign mission.
Subject description: I need help
Hello guys!
I wanted to add a briefing voice at the beginning of my campaign map, a different briefing from outside of the game, I added the sound as .wav format, Mono 22,050 hz PCM by sound forge program, and put it into my expandedXX.mix Also I made the stips of soundmd.ini and I did all the steps in the following tutorial but it doesn't work! ?
https://modenc.renegadeprojects.com/Sounds
I searched for the plug-ins of Winamp but I couldn't find it on the internet.
Maybe I missed something or this is not how it works so please guide me to the correct way. QUICK_EDIT
That Modenc guide is for adding sound effects such as weapons fire or unit voices etc with the sound.ini.
Mission briefings voices are different, they are "EVA" sounds controlled by the evamd.ini file. Unit like sound effects the wav files for EVA announcements are stored in a mix file (audiomd.mix inside of langmd.mix) instead of the sound.bag.
Once you have placed the wav files in a mix file and have added them to evamd.ini you can then use map trigger 21 to play the sound file during a mission. _________________

Thanks but it does not work!
I added my data to evamd.ini then I added it to my expandmd34.mix
I already added the voice briefing file to my expandmd34.mix but it didn't work! QUICK_EDIT
I use sound forge also and I found that I some times had problems with sounds processed for the game so I just use it for editing but for proper conversion I use GoldWave QUICK_EDIT

I named the files of the voices as ibrownp.wav as well as you know 22.050 hz 16-bit Mono PCM but they didn't work so I put them all in the game folder also not working, no sound.
how can I make them work? Last edited by Yosef Anan on Sat Jan 20, 2024 2:46 pm; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
replace
replace
ibrownp.wave
with
ibrownp.wav
with
ibrownp.wav
replace all sound files with WAV
[BrownMove] ; is double
"Wave" is a misspelling while I was writing the subject and it's not the same in the audio format, now about the repetition of the move, I'm confused about it! There are two moves, one of them with the command attack and move.
I got it dude, I told you why, I let it as it.
But the issue still!
I asked my friend scipcion about the issue he told me to put all audio files in .bag
I asked him how to do that he told me:
"first you need to extract .bag file from language.mix or langmd.mix"
I tried to figure how to do that as he told me but I didn't get it.
I don't have things with the format .bag in langmd.mix
I don't have the same files as he have. QUICK_EDIT
