OK...well i decided i wanted to take cliff, sea, and land tiles from TS and put them in YR, but when i put it all in and im pretty sure its gonna work, i load up YR and start a Skirmish. while its loading i get an internal error.

here is my order in withc i have things

.tem files>go into isotempmd.mix> goes into expand15.mix

for my color paletts i put them in to a cachemd.mix and i put that .mix file the expand15.mix as well...so what am i doing wrong?

Are the .TEM files the same as the Yuri's Revenge .TEM file and are they named the same. If not, you must find the one that are the same and name them the same as well. If that doesn't work then you must ask a better total conversion modder for help.

IIRC, the TS ones are smaller then RA2. So you need to copy the TS tiles into RA2-sized ones for RA2 to use them.

Very few people are proficient with the TMP Editor. It's hard to get a response on stuff people are crap at using. Perhaps you could PM Gangster, he might have a good idea what to do.

The few of us that do know how to use it took the time to play about an learn it. Load a tile, right click on any of hte cell settings on it and select copy all, paste it into a graphics editor, modify it and copy back to clip board, then back in tmp editor, right click and paste all. Thats the very basic gist of how it works. However there are a lot of flags that set over types of behaviour for the tiles (such as if they can be redrawn like bridges are) that the tmp editor can't manually set. Its also a struggle to create new Z buffer images (I think thats what they are) that are used on the extra image part of some tiles. DJBREIT who worked on the TX for RA2 with me knows more about this advanced way of creating tiles than I do.

I know this topic is old but do u still want the terrain? I have just this day converted the terrain from TS into RA2 and works a dream but it overrides desert terrain and has a few pallete problems but im ironing them out.
