Why is the structure version of the core defender not sellable despite having a buildup animation?

I thought it didn't have one at first, but checking the art.ini it's DDEFDMK, but it won't sell :/.....

Also, does anyone know how to make light posts switch off at low power? The powered=yes doesn't work Sad

The same reason why you can't sell a deployed tick tank or a deployed artillery.
The deployer key IsCoreDefender=yes, TickTank=yes etc which links unit and building prevents that.

Powered=yes works only if the building actually uses power, which the light posts don't.
Try with Power=1 or higher.

So will changing IsCoreDefender to no make ot sellable?

And I have done this. Power set to -1 (so it uses power rather than gives it) and it still won't switch off on low power. I can use the power off function to turn it off but the light remains on when base goes to low power.

I've tried iscoredefender=no and tried to up the power drain of my light posts to see if they'll turn off on low power but neither has worked Sad. What else could be at play here to make it not work?

You forgot that this is a Tiberian Sun oversight, light emitting buildings are unaffected by low power as seen here https://github.com/Vinifera-Developers/Vinifera/issues/871

the game is case sensitive, you can not write or mix upper and lower case letters in the way you wrote, it is IsCoreDefender= not iscoredefender=, I recommend you copy already existing lines in the .ini files if you do not know how something is supposed to be written instead of just manually writing it.

Sorry just to be clear, how I wrote it here was just a for instance. On the ini file the case sensitive letters follow what's already there.

And is that github post just pointing out the issue? Or is there a fix?
