How do I go about coding this ?
I want to create the sound of a bunch of slaves growning and moaning from forced labor.

Now I have no problem creating the sound, I just don't know what I would attach the sound too, either in the miner's code or in the art code ?

I don't want the to play all over the game but just then the player moves to the location, which I think is control by range in the soundmd.ini

You could add the sounds to the Slave's MoveSound=, maybe add some blank sounds and randomize it too so its doesn't play every time they move.

That makes sence Mig but what I was looking for was to have this sound play when they are digging for the ore.

Do you know what I would attach this too ?

The only way I can think of is to use Phobos and give the slave a custom ore gathering anim and then attach the sound to the anim.
