Firestorm Vs 2.4 is on the way!


Change log:

-Umagon is buildable.
Cost:1000
Prerequsites:GDI Barracks,GDI Tech Centre
Weapon:Sniper Rifle
BuildLimit:1

-Chameleon Spy is buildable.
Cost:700
Prerequsites:Hand of Nod, Nod Tech Centre
Weapon:None
BuildLimit:None

-Mammoth Tank is Buildable.
Cost:1700
Prerequsites:GDI Weapons Factory, GDI Tech Centre
Weapon:Mammoth Tusk,120mm Smoothbore Cannon(s)
BuildLimit:None

-Hand of Nod Animation fixed. The Antennae on the top of it now will blink properly.

-Refinery Animation fixed. Harvester 'Crate' is sucked in and sucked out when the harvester is starting/finishing its dumping sequence.

-DropShip facing now fixed. the dropship now faces the proper direction ingame.
-All buildings now make various explosions when destroyed.

-18 Death Screams in total for all male infantry.

-Unused Rifle Soilder,Disk Thrower, Rocket Soilder voices enabled.

-Feind,Cyborg, and Cyborg Commando CAN NOT be captured in webs.

-All infantry have been resized to Tiberian Dawn scale.

-E.M.P. Cannon now uses its old SHP turret.

-Cyborg,Cyborg Commando will not go into 'Torso' state anymore. instead they will behave like normal infantry.

-Cyborg Commando Flamethrower enabled.

-Vein Creature color changed like in the renders/Conceptual art.

More changes are on the way! but these are the most critical bug/game fixes that have been done. expect screenshots soon!

Well i dont want a lawsuit on my ass, so let me say this now. a new FS patch is being made by me. no stupid n00b changes. this is just a list of SOME of the changes that are taking place. EA IS NOT DOING ANYTHING HERE. i just wanted to see some reactions. but this patch will hopefully be in its first release by tomorrow!!!(the mammoth tank needs a cameo..so untill then it'll use the XXICON. :S)

Very welcome. i feel it was about time that somebody has provided this to the community. it is long overdue. any new units will be for BALANCE,and if it offsets the balance too much,it goes. period. i originally planned a Chem. Trooper,but that didnt turn out well...so...hes scrapped.

The multiplayer bug that if a spy infiltrates an enemy radar, it will reveal the all units of that player, but not just to the player who sent the spy, but to all the other players as well.

And nice idea Carnotaurus. Look forward to it.

Also cyborgs dying and not having torso's is just plain LAME.

Also Umagon is pretty useless and mammoths can't be built for balance reasons.

lol, that bug is good as a cheat (yuch!).
@Allied General: Umagon is very useful if you know what to use her for. It's good against infantries like Engineers.

It is also fixing the bug that it has two lives, so it was actually stronger than it had to be: also if it had one health left, it did not matter if a Light Infantry shot it, or a mammoth, since the second life always starts with a percentage (unkown AFAIK, could be random too) of the original health.

Mammoth MkII is strong too, but it doesn't turn into damaged Mammoth MkII after being hit by Ion Cannon shot that would kill it otherwise.
Armor and health are enough to show that the unit is strong IMO.

1:im undecided currently about t3h l33t spy haxx0r. you could just wall up your f*cking radar. it isnt that hard... #Tongue

2:Umagon is very useful. picking off Nod's tr00ps long-range. like the E3's,mutant hijackers from a fair distance. f00.

3:The X-66 is only disabled cause WestWood didnt want  'OMFG TH3Y DIDNT MAKE THE MAMMY T3H L33T SH^T! N00BZ!'.

4:Can ANYBODY get the ICBM launcher working?(GAICBM is supposed to fire a missile when deployed. like a mobile-missile-silo.

Well, they have slavick's anim, new voices, cool weapon (a deadly one). If you want I'll pm you the toxin soldier stuff, so you can see what toxin soldiers are.

I enabled once the icbm and it worked perfectly, but I have to look through the rules.ini that I modified to remember.

Carno, as you know not many people have FS... so it would be good if you actually make TS into FS... and then add extra units to it.. so itll look like a mod.
Do what im doing... i cahnged all the FS .INI files to TS .INI files

Carno I made them work. I opened the nod campaign mix with notepad and I found the toxin soldiers's rules. I added them in rules.ini and it worked perfectly.

yea you see the problem with that is its just a gas particle triggered Sniper rifle. the actual 'toxin' is done using triggers iirc

No. Not really, but I'm patching it up with FireStorm and my mod Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy
