[Ares] How to make land mines explode instantaneously when the unit is on top
Subject description: I'm not talking about when the unit is near it. I'm talking about when the unit is actually on top of it
How do I make it so a mine instantly explodes when a unit is on top of it? The unit could pass through the mine but needs to stay there for a while then it explodes.
But if the unit just move normally, it doesn't detonate automatically. I know proximity mines where the Range=1.5 but mine is Range=.5
so the unit has to be on top to explode, but it should be instantaneous, without delay.
I thought it had something to do with the building rotating before firing. But even with Omnifire=yes, Turret=no, and ROT=100, still is not instant when targeting.
Use Range=1, using .5 means the unit has to be standing directly at the center of the mine for it to work. Infantry can stand at the corner of a cell tho so they might not be triggering it. _________________
I use a tank to test. The tank, when near the mine, still detonates in Range=1 and it takes a moment before it does.
Everything below 1 doesn't detonate the mine and needs the unit to be on the same cell.
The part where it takes a moment to explode is the main problem. The mine seems to need to "rotate" before "attacking" which is why I think it takes a moment before exploding.
I thought OmniFire=yes would fix the issue or, even ROT=100 or Turret=no, but no, it still takes a some time before it rotates towards the tank, then it explodes. QUICK_EDIT
Sorry, I shouldn't have used "moment" or "a while". What I meant was it takes about a second or more before it explodes but there is now a better presentation below to show what I meant.
It also has the OpportunityFire=yes now on it like you said.
P.S. The mines have Range=1. If it were to have Range=.5, the Grizzly Tank would've move round and round without the mines ever detonating
if you say it's not normal, then there is a way to make it detonate instantly.
I'll update this when I find out what's causing the issue. I just needed to know if it was possible. QUICK_EDIT
