TerroR if you cant open with older version then i guess you must "suffer" lagging or try re-save, maybe then you will be able to open it in older version. QUICK_EDIT

Anyway, 1.01 is beta, so it's really normal for it to be laggy. 0.98 Alpha 4 works better at me, on 98 and XP. QUICK_EDIT

Final Sun/Alert/BIG are not open source programs. If they were, I would be really happy, and I'd certainly improve its functionality. _________________

1.01 is generally faster for me (while scrolling) and it looks better (ground textures), but it's tunnel functionality is worse, plus it has some very sucky algorithm for working with overlay. Whenever you place or remove some, it hangs for like 1/3th of a second.
And let's not forget the terrible 'ping ping kasheesh kasheesh' sounds it makes. Luckily SMIFFGIG make a version without them (I think I even replaced the download on TumSun with this ) QUICK_EDIT

I agree with ya`. In 1.01 the textures work and the sound it makes is anoying. Hmm, at me it hangs for 1 second. Let's not forget that 1.01 remaps units and structures.......in a fucked up way. In 0.96 the buildings and units look normal, unremapped, only with a colored square/rectangle under them. QUICK_EDIT
