I have been trying (And trying and trying and trying) to get a new mech unit to work... It uses SHP legs like the Titan, but the rest is voxel graphics. So I copied the Titan's art.ini and rules.ini, then edited them accordingly to make the new unit... This resulted in a legless unit (Shows the voxel but not the SHP part) with severly strange graphical glitches, random slowdown and sometimes internal errors.


I have tried all kinds of solutions, none work. I have talked to almost every community member I know on MSN, nobody has ever experienced something like this before, possibly because nobody has tried doing this.

From my experiences everything points towards the fact that the Titan cannot be properly replicated, and the only workaround is to make a 100% voxel-based unit...

the only part of the titan that is a voxel is the turret, that would be your problem if you copied the art directly

You're wrong, it's the barrel. This worked fine in my old mod, but it will not ztyping work anymore for some reason. I am so god damn tired right now.

sorry do dig this up
but if you remove the turretframes from the titan and call your turret xxxbarl.vxl
it´ll apear as turret
works fine in RA2...don´t know if in TS

(i saw this topic, because i was searchinfor this problem...just thoughed i post "my awesome solution") #Tongue
