Today I'm releasing the OS SHP Builder 3.34 to help all those who are trying to submit an entry for the PPM Animation Contest 2. You still have a bit more than 2 weeks to send it. This version imports the high quality Infurium CCM from 3.4, but it's main adition is the Frame Splitter Tool. This tool allows to split a frame into an animation. If you have a frame with 16 blocks with explosions, this tool turns this frame into a new SHP with smaller frames with one block each. I'll post a tutorial, this weekend, to show how this simple tool will be usefull for the entry from some of you. But, for now, this picture explains it:

3.34:
 - revisions by Banshee
   - Added: Frame Splitter. This tool can split a frame into several smaller ones. Usefull for a set of icons or animations.
   - Update: Infurium, CCM (Colour Conversion Method). Infurium is now a little bit slower than before, however, it is more efficient. For the first time, it's getting better results than Full Difference in all tests, since it does everything that Full Difference does, except that when a tie happens, it checks the context (neighboors) and if the neighboorhood is dark or light and select the best colour based on that. Infirium is a processor killer and it can take ages to finish the process and a big pack of your memory, so use it if you really need a top quality import, exclusive from OS SHP Builder (imported from 3.4).

I recommend everyone to update your OS SHP Builder for this version. You can download it HERE. Support for this tool is available at HERE.

If you have a site, feel free to mirror it without asking for permision. You can also play with its source code and add your own features on the program. Just credit myself and Stucuk for the program. Enjoy it!

Banshee, are we ever going to see multiframe GIF to multiframe SHP?

I don't have any date for this one. GIF has a boring and not sure if it's still copyrighted compression.

You can make whatever you want. I make this tool to help the community, learn programming and graphics computing and for my own pleasure. I don't have any obligations with anyone.

I had to install 3.33 again because 3.34 is somehow fucked for me.

If I open a file / want to import a bmp or whatever, and I didn't create a child window before (via New File), I get an error message that would be "This window does not have any scrollbars" in English. Sad

This means I cannot open a file via Windows Explorer.
I'd have to open the program, make a new file, and when I got a child window, everything just works fine again.

I think it got somethin to do with the child window stuff.
Maybe it tries to access a window at a time it doesn't exist yet, so maybe the program should create a new file automatically when it begins or something.
3.33 works fine... is it just me or is this problem known? (don't have Delphi currently).

I'll investigate it. I wasn't aware of this problem. I think I made no changes in this part, so I really don't know what's going on...
