Hi,

I have been away from modding for a year or so, and since i've temporarily given up on my latest programming project I have decided to begin work on a mod for TS (i considered RA2 but the engine seems much more buggy to me!), i can certainly say im suprised how far the modding community has come along since i last peeked around for editors, tutorials, etc.
I have made several mods in the past allthough I never released them, and i started in notepad but then moved on to SE2k (I am going to  reload my PC to get it to work again though).

Anyway, I want to make a new mod based on some of the creations of my previous mod, many involving use of already existing effects and images. but it has come to my attention that it would be better to atleast use some new unit voxels to avoid confusion, and I may also want a singleplayer campaign sometime in the future.

in other words, I am looking for someone to help me with work on the '3d' graphics end of things, and also (possibly) assist me with getting to grips with making a new side in TS (as i have absolutely no experience whatsoever). But at the moment im mainly worried about the creation of new vehicles and a few buildings.

The Story:
through a series of events which are a little complicated to explain, but involve a burning construstion yard, two GDI engineers, and a group of power-hungry NOD technicians, this small group of people decide to join forces, and find themselves with command of an entire base (this is how the new side is born). They merge the best of their previous affiliated side's technologies to make some very formidable weapons and vehicles. the distinctive point about these people is that they have no infantry, because they do not recruit, And everyithing is run by remote-control (allthough one or two vehicles and buildings have drivers), they also have  a considerably small number of unit types, but this is made up for in their inventiveness and destructiveness. this adds a whole new dimension to the war, and both GDI and NOD find that they have to up their defences and technologies - there are several enhancements to the existing units, and both will have up to two(maybe three?) additional units to themselves. also, both sides now employ the use of stealth technology after a major struggle where the GDI managed to capture the technology, and both teams have seen the danger of the new, unknown faction.

im not sure if i have missed anything out, feel free to ask questions and if im sure of the answer yet i will provide the answers! Smile , and either reply here or e-mail me if you are interested in helping me.

thanks, i've sent you a PM.

im still looking for help with the graphics. many of the units are based off ideas from one of my older works, and i re-used existing unit images.
here are some details:

units(in thier origional form):

KEM (LRMP 104/C Experimental)
slow, lumbering, massive; this unit launches long ranged cluster missiles, similar to the cluster missile, except releasing utter devestation in the area(88% deform chance, with 25 cluster sub-warheads, 100% damage to all armour types, except concrete - 50% - in other words, it is similar to a nuclear bomb!), it is almost impossible to survive an attack from these, but they are vunrable from air and close-range attacks, as well as taking a hell of a long time to reload. Build Limit of 1 (as it is basically a super-weapon)
origional image: Mamoth Mk II
origional owner: GDI

Prototype Fortress
another experiment from stolen technology from GDI, this is an extremely fast and agile, but lightly armoured. it carrys a very powerful laser similar to the obilisk, and doing as much damage (except with a burst of 10!). it is similar to a chain-gun version of the obilisk. i can also carry five infantry into the battlefield and can attack aircraft with its weapon too! the only way to defeat this unit is by attacking it with a better range, or disabling it with an Electro-Magnetic Pulse attack first.
original image: Hover MRLS (but not hovering). Build limit of 4.
origional owner: GDI

Autogun (very poorly thought last minute name)
my first unit i ever designed. Again, the story comes from industrial espionage, as this is a nod unit, using GDI technology. This is Nod's answer to GDI's prototype fortress, it is fast, agile, amphibious, and is armed with a rail-gun, and is also fitted out with a cloaking device. One major disadvantage with these is that they carry lots of fuel, and have a tendancy to explode violently when destroyed, and so they do not work well in groups, and are better suited to lone-missions. It can also carry three passengers
origional image: Train Locomotive
origional owner: NOD

Probe
This hovering unit is very useful for clearing shroud, finding tiberium fields, and HARVESTING. yes, that is right - the probe has high sight & speed values, is amphibious, and can be used to harvest small ammounts of tiberium. Probes are also fitted with a small anti-infantry missile launcher.
origional image: limpet drone (allthough i would have liked the hunter-seeker image)
origional owner: Both Sides

Mobile Rocket-Strike Site
This unit is a deployer. Undeployed, it is completely useless and defenceless, but deployed it becomes mid-range rocket launcher, firing semi-bouncing attack missiles at both air and ground targets, but being best used as a strike weapon against enemy bases, similar to artillery.
origional image: undeployed - Mammoth tank (without turret), deployed - Sam Site
origional owner: Both Sides

Mobile Refinary
speaks for itself really. More expensive than a refinary due to its mobility and the fact that it comes with a Heavy Harvester.
origional image: MCV - Refinary
origional owner: Both Sides

Heavy Harvester
This is the giant of all tiberium fields - it carrys tremendous ammounts of tiberium, and is generally quite a heavilly armoured beast, but it is completely unarmed and makes a juicy target on its way back to the base, due to all the tiberium it is carrying.
origional image: Mamoth MK II (again Embarassed )
origional owner: Both Sides

NOD Laser Trooper
similar to the rocket infantry, but carrying a laser weapon similar to NOD's base defences. they are also slower and more expensive than the rocket solider as they have considerably more firepower
origional image: rocket trooper
origional owner: NOD

im sure there are a few more, i will have to have a look at the rules files when i get my PC back running tonight (it wont boot now i have tried to install my webcam drivers after having just reloaded it a few days ago!), i may also post a few screenshots of units in action.

edit: feel free to make suggestions, comments, etc
