Generals Soundtrack - what genre?

I was wondering, all the previouse C & C games had some sort of trance themed soundtrack right?

But I Generals, what kind of musik is that? - more precise what do you call the USA soundtrack?
It's the same musik used for movies like "The Rock" or "Indenpendent Day" so it must have a name?

BTW, just of curiosity, which soundtrack did you like the most?

There is no Trance in any C&C.

Generals is different because it has 3 separate soundtracks for each side, but they all fall under general cinematic music. Unlike the other C&C soundtracks the Generals music was just there to fill its function and nothing more.

The TS music was good, but the ORIGINAL RA2 music, IMO was the best. Despite the fact that i probably prefer TS

Anyway "cinematic" music? but I'm sure there was a news post on the official Generals site that statet something like "we now have a complete soundtrack consisting of nationalisomethingiremeberelectronical....

RA2 is rock/industrial.

TS and Gen are atmospheric, but TS's is way more subtle.

TS's is way better, you can acctually listen to the music and choose the tracks, which you couldn't in Generals...

1 = IS Red Alert 1 had a good balance nice sound and music.
Sound / music =
1 = ra 1
2 = TS = had good music
3 = Generals = dont so good musikk
4 = I just like the hell match in RA 2 and no music in YR.

Balance =

1 = RA 1
2 = TS Is have a nice balance but dont beter then RA 1
3 = Generals have a good balance but dont so good like the another
4 = RA 2 I dont like the balance there. eks Just send 20 prims tank's and win over the computer or a friend's..

PS = Westwood dont make Generals !!!

can't believe no one likes the Generals soundtrack, I think it rox!
The TS is a bit too much subtle I think, you kinda go into some sort of "RTS Trance" that you can't escape from, and it's abit borring...

Generals is much more intense! I really like that.
Unfortuanally I don't get many result (usefull results anyways) if I google the word "Cinematic soundtrack/score/music/whatever"...
Surely that genre must have a name...

Wadda ya think would happen if I send it as a "gameplay" issue/hint to EA's Support?

Well, U see, in Generals, Frank Klepacki didn't compose those songs. He tried, but EA said he wasn't good enough. Which, is fuckin gay, cause he ROCKS!!! Some guy named Bill did it. He's pretty good too.

Generals music is pretty good. My favourite tune is the remix on that one USA song.

But my favourite songs are in RA2. Grinder, Destroy, Hell March 2, In Deep, Brain Freeze, those are great songs.

well call me cultural retarded, but I never played RA1, TD or Sole Survivor... I have Renegade, but can't really remember the soundtrack though... Anyway thanks for the info, but where the heck did you get it?
(just of curiosity, now with an artist I might just be able to carry on alone from here...)

I've always preferred the TS soundtrack it's one of the few soundtracks I still can listen to while I play the game, I got sick of all the others very quicly.
