During these recent days, I've received several emails with community news, but I was very busy with a lot of things and it was hard to post them before. Although sometimes I might be busy, I apreciate this kind of email. Here's the news:


--> Middle East Crisis 1.2 and Mod Toaster 1.04 released at ISOTX: The guys from IsoTX updated their main mod and their mod launcher tool. Middle East Crisis is a Zero Hour total conversion that brings Israel and Syria to the same battlefield, with a non-biased political point of view and a realistic warfare. The version 1.2 of Middle East Crisis is more ballanced and it has several bug fixes. They've added real pilot sounds for israeli AWAC and implemented some new animations.

Mod Toaster 1.04 is a mod launcher that allows users to download and launch some of the best Generals/Zero Hour mods available in the world, such as Middle East Crisis, Blitzkrieg II: The Finest Hour, CnC Holland, Shockwave, The First Tiberian War, Star Wars Imperial Assault, New Strike, Project Raptor, Generals 40k: Only War and World Rebellion. This latest version fixes some critical bugs, including the 99% one.



--> Renegade Alert is back: And they are already working on the 0.9935 patch.

Here's some of their goals for this patch:

   * Fixed "Ranger Bug" - Incorrect posture for infantry in a Ranger
   * Fixed "Service Depot Bug" - Service Depots not taking damage
   * Fixed physics bugs - Driving backwards went faster for certain units
   * Three maps released - Zama, Bonsai, Metropolis
   * Other high-priority fixes - Clogged helipads, crashes, etc


--> Command & Conquer: Filefront news: They have some new files and one interview with the winner of the Ultimate C&C Trivia Contest, Mishkin. Here's the stuff:

- (ZH) Laser General Replay
- (ZH) Codname Rocketmonkey map
- (YR) The World At War Level 2 BARBAROSSA

Note that those files weren't verified by our quality check agents, but this Rocketmonkey has some cool screenshots, seems to be well designed.

And finally, they've interviewed Mishkin, the freak who won the Ultimate C&C Trivia Contest. Here's a snippet:


What are your thoughts on the future of C&C?

Now... the future of C&C. I don't really know when we'll see a new C&C game now. I was hoping that EA would start making one after LOTR:BFME, but I guess that they decided a sequel would be better than C&C (pfft!). In any case, I still have hope for EA's support for C&C...
