Files modified: rules.in and art.ini only

Background:  I made some unit modifications to rules/art files, adding some units, shipyard with vessels and a proximity mine and playing around with the GDI side to try an. My problem is, as I was reading up up on various topics about TS modding, I vaguely rememebr one tutorial(?) addressing some topic (which I can't remember!!!!) that if you changed a certain thing, it may have a bad affect on the RMG.

Problem: I cannot get TS, in either Skirmish or multiplayer mode, to generate a random map. And I honestly cannot remember which thing I might have done to cause this (it was working fine throughout various testing odf units, etc.,)

Question: Which things are you all aware of that may cause a problems with the RMG ???

Any help will definitely be appreciated. I know I should have kept better track of my changes, etc., but evidently I didn't...my bad.  Still gotta solve the proble. Thanks to all who may reply!!.

If you ztype with Cruentus and/or Aboreus. I beleive fourth and third sides also compromise the RMG. We need a sticky of RMG-raping things, BY THE WAY!

Update if my original problem:

1) Unfortunately (cause I could fix that!!  Smile ) , I had not messed with the tiberium. Thanks for the info on that and will keep in mind for the future!

2) Think I have narrrowed it down....I previously created another side and am using the city buildings (city01, etc) as cameo/images within the rules unit files.  Everything works fine if I play the regular game maps but crashes if I attempt to generate a random map with city slide bar on anything other than 0. So, it appears using the CITY graphics files creates some type of conflict.

3) When generating a random map (regardless of which side I am playing) and attempting to view it in the Preview pane or just ok'ing it to generate the map, the buildup inside the preview pane goes through the land graphics, the water, the cliffs, the Tib fields...then, when it should generate the cities...BAM!! it crashes.

4) When it crashes, it also throws up this error after it says I have an internal error in TS:Game has caused an error in game.exe

So...It must be my usage of the CITY grahics as part of a new side. Has anyone run into this problem??  How can I get around this?  or can I?  Hate to give up the CITY graphics cause they are important to that particular side Sad(

Thanks for your response Carnosaurus but I had already thought of that, tried it,  without success.

Extracted each city shp, renamed them, adjusted the art file, etc.  did another mix file with the new renamed files, the whole thing.  Still crashed the game.

Any more ideas, anyone?
