Help needed

i somehow fucked up my game, and i don't know how it happened. each time i'm playing and after a while it gives a IE. can someone help me?

if anyone can please check the ini's u can get here. if u found the problem, please pm me.

i have used AI editor v2 to edit the ai, the problems started after this.

If removing this aimd.ini from the game directory fixes the bug, then it is due to the AI. If it doesn't, well, then AI has nothing to do with it. Wink

Looking at your AI file, I would recommend to keep the ID endings as -G, not -1, -2 etc.

i had a backup of the version editit without ai editor, and the problems still occur. but they began after i used ai editor. so it has something to do with it.

Actually, if the errors occur even in the files not touched by the AI Editor, you can't say the editor is to blame. What happens when you have no ai(md).ini at all?

I will take a look at your rules later.

3 things:

1 i've deleted the aimd, but the enemy still attacks. (how's that possible)
2 no IE detected until now Very Happy

3 how can i change the ai now without the aimd

Please don't doublepost.

1. Heh, if your mod doesn't contain some file, the game falls back to using the default copy of that file. You know, the version that is inside the ra2(md).mix ? Wink

3. You can't, you will just have to be more careful when editing ai(md).ini in the future.

so if i put a clean version of the aimd in the directory and edit that one, everything should be ok

EDIT

is ai editor the problem, because i used that to edit the corrupted aimd. if so, is there an easy way to edit the ai? because i don't understand much how to do that

No, there is no other easy way to edit the AI. But then again, the V2 should not be causing problems. I can only recommend reading DeeZire's ai editing guide and trying to read and understand the aimd.ini file in text.

i am using deezire's editing guide now and everything works. no IE and the ai does what i want them to do Very Happy

the only thing that is difficult to me is the last thing for ai. i don't know the name but it is a long list of numbers and some name's
