what are they suposed to be ?
what are they for ?
why aint they in the game ?
i was recently lookign through xcc mixer and extracting icons xxxxxicon.shp and once i had  finished i found some realy strange camoes check them out and tell me if you know any fo the following aboves ?

well these are my opinions,

1st seems to be a ghost stalker , oxana and erm tratos ? and its signed as a special was it showd just for fun or was it suposed to be part of the game ?
2nd one ive seen on the back of the firestorm case but what does it actualy do ?
3rd is a battery ?
4th meteor storm ? [ this was what i was on about in one of my posts below ]
5th a construction yard but why isnt it in the game ?
6th its definatley not a drop pod but mgiht be a threat rating node but whats is a threat rating node used for ?
7th a light post ?
8th an orca transport why isnt this in the game ?
9th oxana ?
10th is a light post ?

1. Mutant reinforcements. Was supposed to be available to GDI, but never made it.
2. Dropship bay.
3. Crate-only (I think) reserve power superweapon for Nod.
4. Meteor shower superweapon.
5. Construction Yard. You'll find this cameo in every C&C game, but it is never buildable.
6. Drop Pod/Threat Rating Nod cameo. Threat rating node (I believe) was supposed to make GDI base defences more intelligent and attack according to the size of the ThreatPosed tag. A larger number meant that they would attempt to destroy that instead of a weaker unit.
7. Spotlight tower. You generally see these buildings in single player a lot, and they were supposed to be buildable.
8. Orca Transport. Effectively replaced by the Orca Carryall.
9. Umagon. Was supposed to be a GDI hero unit like the Ghost Stalker, but only appeared in missions.
10. Light post. Was to be used for darker levels, as you have to remember that TS was supposed to have a more dynamic environment. If the level was dark, units had limited sight so light posts would combat this.

yes, the battery was for a weapon only nod would have, but was a one off. this would increse there power by a multipule for a peroid of time, then return back to normal after that time

IS becouse the orca transport is buget is just fly away or never land =P

There for them make a carryal whit right code some not was in mission. Wink

and you really dont think that westwood could have edited that? beacuse westwood soooo did not have the game source... and use a dictionary damnit! its close to impossible to see what ure writing!

The Orca Transport was not REPLACED by the Orca Carryall

The ORCATRAN acted like the TD/RA1 Chinook and transported 5 infantry units

The CARRYALL transports 1 single vehicle

2 very different jobs

On a side note, some of the buildings shown in the unused cameos above may seem quite pointless (Light Post, Spotlight Tower etc) however you have to take into consideration that the game now lacks many key features which where originally intended
In the case of the two buildings mentioned above, lighting was to be a much larger feature than what it was in the release, which is basically just eye candy and for creating atmosphere

P.S. I would have thought everyone knew what these cameos represented by now

Well the Carryall can move a loaded APC, which meant that infantry transport could be done like that.
