need help adding these certain files ...

i have 5 .shp files and i do not know were i should put them ( eg cache.mix expandxx.mix ) and how they should be stored ? ( eg serperate files. )

mouse.shp [ info : found in conquer.mix ]

poweroff.shp [ info : found in cache.mix ]

ring.shp [ info : found in conquer.mix ]

wrench.shp [ info : found in cache.mix ]

select.shp  [ info : found in conquer.mix ]

You should just put them all in an ecachexx.mix file, where xx is the number unused 01-99 or 02-99 for Firestorm.  It is very important that the 01 be just like that, and so on and so fourth for the rest.

shps go in ecache files ( mix ) and voxels go into expand files ( mix ), Im sure if you browse around on this site you will learn what goes in where and all the other basic things for modding correctly.

I would also suggest for future problems look around the site for more information before posting.

Actually, I have vxls, shps, auds, etc., all in an ecachexx file, and it all works. I personally don't think it matters.

I'm not probably right, but it seems that it depends on computer...like, I can't put vxls into Ecache, but somebody may can (Sir Modsalot, for example (if his word is to trust)). some have putted the mouse.shp into expand, it works, but whit me, I must put it into ecache, cos the game tilts if the shp is in expand.mix

So, is there a specific rule to them?

Voxels do work from ecache*.mix files, but .shp files (apart form a few cases) don't work in expand##.mix.
