only tanks that are in SHP format (like the terror drone). and they would only be able to work through a trigger in a map, not like the paradrop you click where you want it to go.

OMG...what is so attractive in making a tank paradrop...we discussed that like a million times on DZ forums...making a tank paradrop will be a golden oppurtunity for the ifv/flack trucks r any AA tanks in ur mod to gain experience.

havent you evcer seen the show "mail call" on the history channel??? they can drop a abrams out of a C-130 or similar plane with a HUGE parachute, or i think, 3.

History Channel is not available in this country.. not even on satellite.

is there no way to put map triggers into the game in which if you capture a tech-airfeild after a set time you can get a tank para?(or even a cow para??)

You know why? Check the cow's sequence in Art.ini, I bet it doesn't have Paradrop= frames defined. Set it to any frames, try Ready= for reference.

actually... I've seen tanks paradroped in a mod before... although it looked very strange, cuz it still had a shadow.... I can't remembe the mod right now though.... hmmm either way I'm pretty sure there is a way to do it.. but I haven't edited RA2 in a while, I've been going pure TS lately...

concerning the history channel they can drop a abrhams tank, but only like 1 or 2 , the tonnage will wiegh down the plane...i.e (svg pt ryan)..its really not aplicable in combat to drop tanks espicially during a para drop when the inf could be crushed or the tank could fall into enemy hands, then ur tech is theirs, depleted uraniuam an others.....plus paratroopers are disteguish for that very reason, u never heard of a paratanks divs.

Dude. C-130s drop tanks on makeshift runways for reinforcements. Not in-the-field deployment. And as for stupidity, go look up the Flying Tank the Soviets made during WWII...

Also tanks won't nesecarily be too heavy to drop by plane. Especially some new tanks that i heard of that are made of plastic Very Happy They are even harder than the current metal tanks and weigh a few tonnes less than current tanks and are generally better Very Happy

when i worked on dover airbase i could see c-4's an c-5's unloading heli's an such im sure they do the same with tanks but they do not drop them on the runway in a parachute format, so parachuiting tanks in combat is not happening no time soon.

those who remember the original C&C gdi-nod saw that tanks were landed by cargo plane on a runway, but never dropped in mid air with a chute

hence why RA2 is a GAME

In RL we just paradrop small vehicles like APC units but since this is CNC you do anything.

Talking about realism in a game where magnetism and mind control are used in combat along with giant squid and dolphins is just rofl

I took out or edit all laser type weapons, i never have yuri as player or AI , my game is pretty much basic modern warfare, i.e howi's instead of prims for AI team  scripts
