The glowy text

I've seen that 'glowy' crap around peoples text in heaps of logos. How do I do it? I have PSP and recently, Photoshop.

(I mean the glow like in Terrors sig)

You'll need photoshop for this one.

1. create a new image and fill it with a color.

2. Type you text onto it.

3. On the menu bar, open the layers window, from window ---> layers.

4. in that window you should see two layers, the background and the text. Right-click the text layer and select 'blending options...'.

5. You should now have a new 'layer style' window, in that scan down the left and check 'outer glow'.

6. Once this is done you should see a glow on your text, to change the color etc click on the 'outer glow' section so that a new window opens in the current one.

7. Then experiment with the values, blend mode - normal works well, the color is easy to change from the little box, and use the 'range' slider furthur down to adjust the glow. Less range means a stronger glow.

your welcome, you can also do a lot of other things from that menu, not just to text, for example, i made this using just that menu.

Cool! I experimented and did loads of stuff. Photoshop is pretty good.

call me dumb but the one thing i cant quite figure out on adobe photoshop is how to make curved lines #Tongue

lol i can do these advanced things but im missing this basic element! how come there isnt just a curved line button like in MSpaint,? lol

i only know psp. psp 7 its kinda obvious.
psp5:
1.click on the line button
2.on that tool window that says controls and choose beizer where it ways line type.
3.draw the line. dont do this point to point.
