Help with modding maps

QUICK_EDIT Attach signature (signatures can be changed in profile) close

I have SE2k installed but when ever i try useing final sun version it says its not installed does anyone know where i can get one that works.

Note: Do not say the homepage link from final sun because last time i tryed it the page did not exist any more.

i only want to use to mod maps i have made a normal mod for the game usings notepad which is easyier (if theres a way to do that with maps then please tell me)

Open wordpad and open your map in it... duh

Yes, you open wordpad, open your map with it, and put whatever you've edited inside it, in the section it belongs to. If the section isn't there (Most likely) create it.

i found out my own way of doing it that works for me which is:

I goto the INI editing section on final sun,
then i click insert another ini file content and just picked the rule.ini file
then find units or buildings from the list after inserting them and change the values or wotever i want to mod. Im not sure if anyone knew u could do this but it works for me and seems very easy just like wordpad editing exept on the final sun it self.

Ini Editing section on final sun isn't very reliable. Use wordpad and edit it like you would do with a rules.ini. Think on it like an extension of rules.ini .

but when you use wordpad how do you make it so its only for that map?

open the map file, in notepad. Then at the very bottom, input your modded piece of coding. then go to file>save

It's that simple.
