PPM exists for over 5 years and we never had a motto, a slogan for us. At least, not an official one and this is about to change, with your help, of course. We want you to choose the one below that fits more what you see here.

To help you with this task, first of all, we need to recap what PPM, the site, is. It's a modding development community. We develop and host mods, tools, resources, maps, tutorials and even one game (OpenSun). We promote events, we are an active community. Many people visit us because of the tools, of the mods and the tutorials... also, mainly, because of the community. What shapes the site is the community. The news of the site focus its community. Everything that happens here is done by the community. The community makes the future and brings the future to this place. We affect other communities due to our tools, mainly, and modding ideas, although the tools affects more the way all other communities mod their C&C game (except for Generals/Zero Hour and Renegade).

Now, after all the brainstorming of the paragraph above, the main ideas that rise are: community (it shapes the site), future (our tools affect how the games are modded and the ideas discussed here travels to other communities), learning (we are very newbie friendly and we have lots of tutorials and researchs) and development (afterall, we develop every modding related stuff).

I've came with the following mottos based on the things above:

1) Project Perfect Mod: The C&C modding future is a click ahead.

2) Project Perfect Mod: Shapping a perfect way of modding.

3) Your first C&C modding step is at Project Perfect Mod.

4) Project Perfect Mod: The complete C&C modding community.

5) Project Perfect Mod: We have a vision, a community vision!

But if you don't like any of them, post a better one in a reply. If it's good enough, I add it in the options.

Maybe you should add up this one?

PPM:The one who controls moding controls the future

I like
4) PPM: The complete C&C modding community.

but perhaps a few other ideas:

PPM: At the heart of CNC.
Where you find CNC, you find PPM.
PPM: Living CNC.
PPM: Powered by CNC.

Lol ^_^ great pun.. for without modding we don't have a C&C future really.. unless EA gets off it's backside but let's not turn this into an EA 'bashing' fest shall we? #Tongue

This is a good motto. I've updated the poll above.

For Muldrake's suggestions, I wanna say that we don't focus much on C&C, more on modding and creativity with C&C games. And, for gufu, it's a funny motto, but it doesn't reflect the community of any game.

I might choose this one: "PPM: Lighting The Path", BUT I'm gonna wait first. There might be some better ones.

Or..

Mission Project Perfect Mod: Sucess!

Pah, I dunno..

PPM: Where the future lies for CnC

PPM: A perfect vision for CnC modding

PPM: Where CnC modding begins

All a little rubish but meh.

Hmm... That sounds like a very good motto for PPM. I think that should be one of the poll choices. Its very good, and unoriginal, plus its sounds really good for PPM, and kinda fits its perspective too.

"PPM: The Tacitus Of Modding" For Winner! Very Happy
I wish I could take back my other vote now..
Why couldn't I have thought about this earlier, before everyone else had voted!
Also, mottos are best kept short.. and mines quite short..

Honestly... there is a flaw with it. Tacitus is something that no one understands and that it needs to be decoded. Modding is the Tacitus, not PPM...

The tacitus is a database of almost infinite knowledge. People work on translating it, and slowly the uncover new secrets. It has given out some powerful secrets already, and it will continue to do so for a long time, for even if it is completely translated there is too much information to be worked through in a short time.
The tacitus is the mind of the community of PPM, within are ideas to which will add a new level to modding, many we have seen and have really changed the way we mod TS and CNC, many to which we haven't begun to see yet.
We are the translators to the greatest database to modding, ourselves.

I'm gonna go with PPM: The Tacitus Of Modding, cause TS/FS is the largest C&C game mentioned at PPM.

Meh. Withdraw it from the poll then. We shouldn't have the option of an inaccurate motto, unless you wanted something like PPM: The key to the tacitus, or PPM: The key to modding.

PPM: Modding is in our veins.

I voted for the Tacitus one because of the large TS modding community here.

Maybe no one wants my 2 cent, but I chose PPM:  Shaping a perfect way of modding because we are doing the best we can, without pd's work anyways.  We are developing an open source game, so the slogan kinda hints at that. And other things like it.

Although the Tacitus one is good, it kinda makes think that PPM is devoted to TS/FS only, which were not. So don't pick it.

We can always modify it Dom like this:

PPM: The Tacitus of Modding for all your C&C needs.

or PPM: Unlocking the Tacticus of Modding for all your C&C needs.

Gufu, please go back to first grade. I've spoken to Chavs smarter than you. And who cares if it makes us look more TS-oriented? C-Gen has TS forums, yet the whole place is RA2-Oriented. Neutral

A motto like "PPM: The Tacictus of Modding" is teh best one. It fits in with it because most of the modding on this site has to do with TS.
