Odd XCC Mixer problem

Each time i run "XCC MIXER.EXE" my computer gives me the send error report error. It tells me it has done an error and needs to close the program. This never happened before until today. What's the error?
BTW, it tells me that if i want to send an error report a certain "appcomp.txt" or something like that will be included in the error report. I tried the following:
-Deleting this txt file.
-Deleting all temporary files
-scanning the exe for infection
-redownloaded the exe and ran it.
-change exe name
-put it in a different folder
-restarting my computer
-deleted registry data

None of these have arranged the problem. What could cause this?
EDIT: Nevermind, i forgot to delete some of the registry data. Anyways, i wonder, why did the regedit cause such a problem?

try holding SHIFT and run XCC mixer again...
happens on all versions above 1.22

I've fixed it in my computer by playing with the mix/big file that freezes the program.

By playing, I mean moving it to another directory. One time XCC Mixer will work.. then you can move them back later...

i've found that if i use the new version it will freeze on startup, so i am stuck using the old version
