Subject description: My first toturial
Well this is my first toturial, So lets see what we can do
First. Things you will need.
*Blaze Media Pro - Download Here
*XCC Mixer - Download Here
*XCC Mix Editor ^
*A String Table editor
*The Song you are going to add
After Downloaded and Installed the Programs listed above, Folow the guide below.
Ok, Lets go.
1.Open Blaze Media Pro, Click on Convert Audio then click on Convert to WAV.
A window should appear, Click on the icon whit a Document and a green arrow and choose the song you want to convert and click open (Notice that you can add more than one song), Then after that click the icon that says Audio to WAV, A progress bar will apear. When finnished follow step 2 below.
2.open XCC Mix Editor And Click on new, Save it as "ecachethemeRA2" (other names works as well but i dont know any others).
Click on insert and add your song, Then Click Save and save it to the RA2 directory.
3.Open XCC Mixer, Click on Launch, Then click on Theme Writer and choose your game (RA2 or YR), A themes(md).ini will apear in the RA2 directory, Then Click on Open and open the language/langmd.mix and extract the ra2(md).csf to the RA2 directory
4.Open the themes(md).ini and you will a themes list, Add your son to the list like this: xx=YOURSONG to the list(xx displays the number above the last previous number in the list), Then scroll down to the bottom of the ini text add your song like this: [YOURSONG]
Name=THEME:Yoursong (Recomended not longer than 8 Characters)
Sound=Yoursong (Recomended not longer than 8 Characters)
After that Save the file.
5.Open the String table editor, Then open the ra2(md).csf and add a new string like this: String ID:<(do not add)
THEME:Yoursong
Content/Value:<(do not add)
Yoursong
After that Copy the ra2(md).csf to the RA2 directory, Play the game an listen to your cool new song while playing.
Note: The files you are converting using Blaze Media Pro is being about 4 times larger when converted so if you want them smaller you need to use the Audio Editing Tool icluded in Blaze Media Pro
That was my guide and now im sick of writing so this if my first and probly my last guide. hope it will help you //Chrisse
Hmmm... this dosn't work for me. The songs i put in don't play properly, they play the song above them in the list... and yes, they are saved as .wav QUICK_EDIT

Hmm not sure about that. I used Blaze Media Pro 7 when i wrote this guide, so things may have changed.
Altough, make sure the Format is PCM, and that they are set to 22050 hz.
I know theres a more specific info about the wave format in Red Alert 2 somewhere, but can't find it. _________________ R.I.P Xeno.

Well I always extracted the thememd.ini and wrote everything manually, so I wouldn't know about this method...
But you could go to XCC Mixer, rightclick on the song WAV and "copy as WAV" and choose the IMA ADM (the kind Ra2 uses). It will appear as converted in the other panel of XCC Mixer. QUICK_EDIT
