Thanks to Bittah's guide, I fixed the colors on the ROTD tiberium.

It's kinda odd, but even when I made the color green on all tiberium, the game seems to adjust it when the same graphics are used for blue tiberium.

I know, there's no variation in the colors. But to accomplish that I'd have to copy the hex values from the original TS tiberium one by one, 12 times for each of the 20 tiberium SHP files. I really don't feel like doing that...

yeah... it was.

Anyway, I finally found a use for Win 3.11's old Macro Recorder, and used it to change the colours to the original more varied colours per density of the TS tiberium Smile

(I recorded the actions once and then just let it replay them in my hex editor 20 times Very Happy )

Very nice work, i allways wondered how to fix this bug Smile

Would you mind if i use it for my RotD voxel mod?

EDIT: Did you also fix the blue tib? i never figured out how its radar color works, since it uses the same images as the green tib :/

Read my post instead of just looking at the pretty picture, Chriz #Tongue
I mentioned the blue tiberium.

It doesn't seem like something to put in vxl mod, but since you seem to be making a full unofficial update out of it anyway... go ahead Smile

Just add the entire ecache05.mix in your rotdxp##.mix

Tiberium in TS uses the remapable red from the unit*.pal.

I assume that as soon as you don't use the color 0 for radar anymore, the game uses the RadarColor specified in the rules.ini.

Umm... I thought the whole problem with tiberium was that it DOESN'T read values from rules.ini for the radarcolor of SHP files...
not to mention, the value in there was 00 00 07, so that's not exactly color 0 either...

And I'm sure it adjusts relative to the color value in the SHP file: in my first test the blue tiberium turned out purple on radar, while the color I set was just a different shade of green. See bittah's topic for the screenshot.
