FS Once a city [2-4]
Even tho i have the feeling the map is not done (gues we all know that feeling), i must stop myself of adding more stuff to this map.
as u can see at the mini map the small islands are pretty useless, and purly for those that wanna explore the map.
intro:
the name of this city has been lost over time.
the buildings left standing are all that is left of this once great city.
torn apart by war, changed by tiberium mutations and forgotten by time.
It is yet again the scene of war.......

Sorry to be picky, but its "Once" not "ones".
And the bottom left starting position does look a little cramped for space compared to the others, looking at the minimap. Anything there to help make up for that?

imo your able to defend that position better from ground forces. but some demo work is needed. _________________
wow...that's impressive work! but...why would people stay in city ruins, worn down by time and Tiberium? I understand if they'd be mutants, but as they aren't...well... _________________

Why the map have 1mb?, and this is a converted randow map, because the final sun cant put the veicles in these positions,and why muldraque write ORIGINAL, he is your friend?
erm...what are you getting at? This IS Wes. com's original, made-from-scratch map, and in case you're wondering about those vehicles, heh, you're wrong. If you place a vehicle into a slope, it will appear tilted ingame, though not in Final Sun itself. And you can rotate vehicles simply double-clicking it and changing the rules of the vehicle.

i made this map from scratch, i make all my maps from scratch! only thing i'm willing to use is a bitmap so i have a basic layout.
here a pic, here u can see the map half way, this map was based on a drawing posted on an other forum.
Long time no see Wes. Nice to see a new map from you! (Well, a year old I suppose.. Still new, hah). Looks quite original indeed, TS needs more island maps of this calibre. Your story is concise, yet so efficient - really adds a new depth to the idea behind the map I think, even as basic as it is. QUICK_EDIT

1) Cliff shadow errors? If you're talking about the shadows on the water cliffs, then thats not caused by a mistake in the map, It's just the way the water cliffs appear in-game.
2) Your harvester being stuck is not because of this particular map either, This has happened on many maps before, including WestWood maps rather than just custom made maps.
3) When you're giving someone a message letting them know that there are 'Terrain Error's to fix, you should at least let them know where they are and what they are, so It'll actually be easier for people to find them. QUICK_EDIT

The "harvester getting stuck" problem is caused by the blue mold. You can drive on it, but you can't Only the sides can be driven on, the center of a blue mold field is a no-go area. But if there is Tiberium on it, the harvester will try to get it, and is stuck. Why Westwood coded the blue mold like this is also a question for me...
Just an advice for future maps: don't place tiberium on blue mold QUICK_EDIT

It is Aro, I even saw it a few hours ago: a Wolverine got stuck on the blue mold (I know this, because it was the last enemy unit on the map). It goes right many times, but there's the chance that a unit get stuck on it... Also, have you tried building on a large field of mold. You can only build on the edges, not in the center...
And TeamBlack, how do you want to use a carryall if you are Nod... QUICK_EDIT
The map is lovely. I should play it I have this stuck problems sometimes - often when my harv was going to a tree and can't get rid of it >.<

maybe it was coded that way for a purpose, ya know, like the mold is some kind of organic biomass that gunks up stuff and stops it dead, kinda like a living thing. then again, i may be wrong, but this map is nice regardless. the little island would be great for secretly setting up ambushes or missile bases or somethin. hehehe. the map itself reminds me of chrono trigger a little bit, all the little mysterious islands. don't see a prob if your GDI, and Nod just kills all those that dont obey there orders, so i see no probs what so ever. well u'll lose a 1400 bucks harvy but...well thats war for ya

i had played this map 2 day ago ... on the marked position of this map there is a Bug, harvesters get peranently Stucked (on the left tiberian field)... they cant move etc =(
