Errmmm.. Sorry I don't know where to put this topic, so I put it here.
How can I do for making smoke in my maps, in final sun? I have downloaded a map with smoke, it was maybe psalm23 or something like that.... Can anybody help me?

Note: This is Denmon's Tut from tiberium.com when it was still there.

Makeing a particle animation
This tutorial will guide you through the process of making a smoke or any other particle animation appear at your map.

Lets begin, Click the "+Waypoints" button and choose "Create waypoint with special ID" and click where you want your waypoint. A dialog will appear, give it nine or any other free number over 7 (i prefer nine... dunno why)




Now open up the trigger editor


Create a new trigger with these settings. The name dosent have to be smoke though, it can be whatever you want it to be.


Now switch to Events and use these settings. The time Parameter value tells the map when the smoke should be triggered. After how many time units. You can have that 1,2 or even 123993567 if you want to. I suggest keeping it at some lower number though.


Now switch to Actions and create a new action with these settings. The parameter value here is what animation should be played. The Test smoke is the standard smoke that iam suing for this tutorial. It can be sparks if you would rather have that though.


Now change the Action parameter to Waypoint and change the parameter value to the noumber of your waypoint. In my case, 9.
