Hi,
I'm new here and was wondering if you would help me out...
I'm doing a bit of modding and have a few questions on some things.

1)I'm making the ICBM launcher availible for GDI and a few things arn't working. first...it deploys and everything ok but after the multi-missile is charged it doesn't fire, it just starts over.
2)The prerequisite to it is called Missile Guidence System and is the gap geberator from the .mix files...I can't seem to get the picture to show up, there is just nothing, I tried using the code in rules and Art .ini's for the Nod Radar.

3)I'm also trying to use the other mobile artillary that is in the MIX files and can get the body to work but not the large barrel.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

1) Make a clone of multi-missile superweapons, but change the action to DontUse8. Then, make your ICBM Launcher fire your new multim missile.

2) Gap Generator in TS mix files? Meh, I've never heard on that... there is one on Red Alert 2 mix files that you can convert to Tiberian Sun by resizing it

3) Insert the following code under your unit in rules.ini:

Turret=yes

1)ok I'll make the clone...

2)yup there is one in tibsun.mix - snow.mix - gap.shp

3)I'll do it... but will it have a moveable turret then??

mabey the gap generator doesn;t work because it is only in the snow.mix...

2) The gap file is only on snow.mix. It's not in temperate.mix (You'd need one to be able to play it in temperate maps) + you also need to add the code in art.ini for it. Maybe, in your case, try playing in a snow map.

3) The turret changes the direction according to the target it aims...

1)the ICBM now make an error...I'll go over the guide again and see if I can make it work.

2)yea the gap generator works perfectly in a snow map...

3)the Artillary turret works but there is a big space between the body and the turret. almost like there is supposed to be somthing in between.

3) you should edit any turretoffset in the [arty] section of art.ini to some thing like:

TurretOffset =x,x,0 (x=value)

Because when i'm reading your description, i think it's drawn too high above the body, right? the last value is the Z position. The numbers represent forward, lateral, height offset from body center.

there is the GAP Generator in the mix files from RA1

however it looks total crap as its in the wrong pallete, however with abit of work (not as simple as it seems) you can fix it to look absolutely perfect in TS remap and all

Its the kinda of building that could have been put into TS and look fine

I have done this and used it in TSR but obviously not as a GAP Generator but just as a cool map feature on TSR Tiberium Valley map
