well,here's a little tutorial for those who want to add more power turbines to gdi ,this is for newbies who have no idea at all(and for those who never thought it would be so easy xD), so here it goes :
(i'm doing this for FS,as it is a little easier,specially art rules,as you can put them anywhere)

add in artfs .ini :
; Power plant power-up animations
[GAPOWR_C]
Cameo=TURBICON
Image=GAPOWR_C
NewTheater=yes
Normalized=yes
Surface=yes
LoopEnd=12
LoopCount=-1
Rate=220

add in firestorm.ini :

43=GAPOWR_C (in animations list)

17=GAPOWRUP2 (in the building list,any non existing number will do)

Name=2nd Power Turbine(name this as you wish)
Prerequisite=GAPOWR
Image=GAPOWR_C
TechLevel=7
Armor=wood

now,i've added a crappy version i made to test this , just unzip it
then add it to an ecache.mix and that one to an expand.mix and add it to your game's folder (check the other tutorials if you need help there)

I can't test this right now but doesn't this have some role in the power plant turbines?

Doesn't that mean that the plant will always use that image for powerups rather than your GAPOWR_C and if not what does the line actauly do?



Anyway to simply add a new turbine with existing grafics you only need to edit rules.

noo,i've done it with just the code up there and it works, both work just perfectly,no problem at all if you don't believe i'll post a screenie xD

and the tutorial was not about how to add one with existing graphics,but with new ones, in any case, the image tag always allows you to use existing graphics[/quote]

these lines of code do, i've tried it and it seems to work 100%,maybe if you don't change those,it draws GAPOWR_C upon GAPOWR_B but i'm not sure either but i haven't seen anything strange though
