I was going through a pawn shop when I saw the first one I ever played, Hard Driven for the Sega Genesis. Of course, I bought it. Its basically a giant race track, and after completing either the speed course or stunt course, you get to race! Oh, and I think this is the also the first game I saw with replays(it replayed you crashes). Oh, and the cow moos if you hit it!

Probably the original Doom. I didn't play Wolfenstein 3D until later amazingly.

The first 3D Game I played was Super Mario 64. Within months, I had picked up on Quake for the PC, and later on, Doom.

Damn... I didn't play any 3d games until around 1995/6, I had an AMIGA 500+ (still have working) til I borrowed a PS1 and played Tekken 2, Crash Bandicoot 1 and Wipeout 2097 which are probably my first 3d games. Well, there was sort of one AMIGA 3d game that was 3d, though I don't remember the name, I just remember it was set in space, and you could fly into a lot of planets and explore them or something...

Acorn! Wow, that takes me back some... What was that maths game where you had to fly around the world and so?

Also, mine was Goldeneye64, with out a doubt, it was a game that shaped most of the FPS future.

Battlezone at the arcade, circa 80s, and Wolf3D pretty soon after it came out. Long time ago...

the first 3d games I've ever played were Descent Shareware and Heretic. Both were on a Zodiac Game Pack that came along with a Pentium S that we bought back in late '95.

for the record, Descent PWNS.
