I've downloaded VXSL 1.37 from the PPM site but everytime I run it every icon on my desktop disappear, same for the close, enlarge, minimize buttons on every program that is running and I have to reboot the pc.

Is it a common problem ?

You are the first to report this problem. And as far as I could see the program running on several machines with different operational systems (Windows Vista, XP, 98SE, Ubuntu with WINE, etc...), I've never seen this happening.

Try this (it will not harm your computer, worst it will do is nothing, just restart if any probles comes along):

press [ctrl]+[alt]+[del]
Find "explorer.exe"
Select it and press delete, and select yes.
Go up to "run..." and whrite "explorer.exe"

As far as I can se, this is a problem with the interface.

I'll try later but I'd like a VXSL that don't give me problems like that #Tongue

This is a problem with windows theme (related to windows explorer). It is really beyond my scope.

(Yes im replying to an old topic)

Icons disapearing is because windows is refreshing the background but it fails to refresh all icons. You can get them back by eather clicking on them or pressing F5 while the desktop is selected(As in when no application has the keyboards focus).
