Thats very dangerous don't you think.
And its on most of the ROS units.
Maybe its his trade mark or something.

it maybe fuel tanks.well even me not clear with it [personaly i dont know much about weapon of millitary. ] but i found it on back of many tank in realife. for example on T80-90

hmm it may dangerous but atleast it make my tank look not too clear.

The oddness of the design is great. This has to be one of my favorite ROS units.
