G.D.I. Ground Pack Download.
Subject description: A small download package!
Hey there! As you all know Tiberian Odyssey is getting on quite a bit in its age and during the years we've made countless amounts of media for this mod. I recently organized a few files together and decided I would release some of our unused material in some small download packs, which I will release as time goes by. Today I have decided to give away two G.D.I. units in several forms. The Hover MLRS and the Disruptor.
Please note these voxels were created by Muldrake and he should be credited if you choose to use them in your mod, it would also be appreciated if Tiberian Odyssey is mentioned in any credits.

yup, neptune size! QUICK_EDIT
I don't think that they fit either the GDI structures of TO, or the other GDI vehicles. The other GDI vehicles are lighter, sandier coloured.
Technically they're great, except the normals. Last edited by Orac on Wed Apr 29, 2009 3:41 am; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
We already have replacements for any download pack units you might see, I uploaded the new Disruptor ages ago. The Disruptor MkIII (not featured here) will be reskinned and used as campaign or easter egg however, as I liked it that much. _________________ QUICK_EDIT

That's what I meant to say.
Seriously, the voxels I've seen are mind blowing. You'll see them, and immediately think "Yeah, that's what a [Whatever] is meant to look like."
They have enormous quality. Last edited by Orac on Fri May 22, 2009 5:27 am; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
Wow, I had forgotten about these.. they were some designs I truely loved. I'll be in honest in saying, I prefer these Hover MLRS over the new one, but the new one does fit in a lot better with the rest of the new GDI style.
With regards to normals, it was always my bane with voxelling, I hated doing them. As a result, I'd always use auto-normals until I knew for sure the voxel was final, and I'd then manually fix them up to be all shiney.
To explain the Mk.I, II and III things, they were designed using the idea that the game would "evolve" in time, and you'd have different periods. In each of the periods things would become more advanced, and the unit designs would reflect this. I'm not sure if that idea is remaining, probably not as it was an insane amount of work, but yeah, it added a new depth to how to design the units..
Wow.. memories.. we did some awesome stuff, with awesome ideas. _________________ If there is a problem on the forums, PM me. QUICK_EDIT
