Well, I made a little effort to try to get the repair drones I made to be spawned when the crusher crane gets built, however this leads to the game immediatly crashing upon completion of the structure.

This is what I know:

You can use this (below) to get units spawned at the creation of a building. I used it and was able to get ore miners and a few other units to be spanwed, but when I tried to get the repair drones built, the game would crash. I am guessing that the problem lies with the drone's coding, and not with the structure itself.

I guess what it comes down to, it is possible for a building to own a drone, and after that, can a drone that is owned by one unit repair another?

Drones can only repair the owner from what I know, not other allied units...

That's odd.. I was sure I'd seen my allied units being repaired by their buddy's repair drones. Confused
I must have been imagining it.

Yeah, in Gens I'm sure I saw my Humvees repaired by Crusaders with battle drones (those weird drones with the little gun underneath, and the orca engine on top)

Well, I just tested it, and the battle drone does NOT repair friendly vehicles other than it's owner.

However, being the crafty guy that I am, I can just make the crusher cane be some kind of propaganda tower, and with the animation of repair drones flying around.

Or give it the ability to repair units around it, so you don't have the extra propaganda effect (increased RoF). Use this code:
