This is the Lobster-man. Its "skin" is very hard and most of the X-Com weapons are useless against it. It can cut infantry and vehicles apart easily. Note: WIP; needs textures and "bones"...

This image shows how it'd appear in-game. Will be smaller in-game:

It doesn't look too scary... Maybe a little too friendly looking (smiling!) ? Needs spikes!

It reminds me of the Lobster in the Amanda Show. #Tongue

This brings back memories.
I think you made a really good job on this one.
For the walking anim i would suggest you let it use the middle legs too.
The standing frame should stay this way as it makes it more impressive.

I watched TFTD on youtube. I'm happy I only played UFO: Enemy Unknown.

That shit was already tough enough.

But really great work you guys.

I should start working on your artwork again if this mod is still alive.

Reminds me of a certain "Crab Battle!" even though I don't play that game. #Tongue

Shadows now, LKO... If one appears in TI, I will like it again. But lets not drag TI into this

Crits based on original game:

Lobsters in X-Com had orange thick shell, yellowish chest, antennae were smaller, middle arms used for holding guns about a human arm's length except replace our hands with claws that can manipulate weapons, back was more curved like super armour of thick shell and big claws had more muscle connecting to em, was shorter too.

That's about it, oh ya, green eyes #Tongue

LOL, you crushed my imagination. I'll fix those as soon as possible... Also, that's the best constructive comment I've ever had related to TFTD units. #Tongue

Hm... the skin would have to be more armor-like. Also change the coloring to include more yellowing, while red will be around where the armor plates are connected.

Right now it just looks tasty.
