Update
Im posting this mainly cos Banshee ain't on msn.... anyway.
Iv been working on BS Palette Editor its current features are as follows:
Quote:
1.0
- revisions by Stucuk:
- Added: New/Load/Save TS/RA2 Pal Files and JASC-PAL
- Added: Gradient Tool
The gradient tool can be used to do nice gradient effects, like in the TS/RA2 palettes. Select the start and end colour, then where on the palette to do the gradient effect hit ok and bang, it does it in miliseconds.
SHP_Engine's Palette.pas has grown, it has the following procedures/functions:
Quote:
procedure LoadPaletteFromFile(Filename : string);
procedure SavePaletteToFile(Filename : string);
procedure GetPaletteFromFile(var Palette:TPalette; Filename : string);
Procedure CreateBlankPalette; // does a gradient effect
Procedure CreateBlankPalette_True; // Makes all 0
procedure LoadJASCPaletteFromFile(Filename : string);
procedure SavePaletteToJASCFile(Filename : string);
procedure PaletteGradient(StartNum,EndNum :byte; StartColour,EndColour : TColor);
Function LoadAPaletteFromFile(Filename:String) : integer;

Very nice job. But you have to remember that by using 6bit values for red, green and blue, TS palettes values are always multiple of 4 . So, 199 is an invalid value which would become 196 if it follows my conversion methods. QUICK_EDIT
Banshee, the program is correct, the SHPPalette is a TColour, thus it uses 256 for RGB. JASC-PAL also uses 256 for RGB. Only TS Palettes use 64, which going by Banshee you take the SHPPalette RGB and divide by 4.
It all works... (64*4=256, 256/4=64)
Anyway you can look at the source when you get back.
This could GREATLY help me...lookin forward to release (shouldn't be too long, only missing feature would be to import colours from another palette.. QUICK_EDIT
