I have good news! ArgCmdr has authorized official Pal Pack support for the next version of BS SHP Builder. Here's the authorization info:

Arg, I'd like to know if I could add an official support for Pal Pack II in BS SHP Builder. Pal Pack I seems to be impossible because Cannis has a part on it and he would claim "stealing", even if you authorized.

But Pal Pack II only depends on you. This "official" support could be implemented in one of the following ways:

1) BS SHP Builder would already come with the palettes converted to C&C format by default and there would be an option under the Palette menu, below RA2 with Pal Pack II stuff.

2) You would need to download the Pal Pack II from YR Argentina (JASC version) and extract it to a dir. BS SHP Builder would have an option in the menu to "Install Pal Pack II". This option would convert all palettes to C&C format and would save them all in a pal pack dir in shp_builder/palettes/palpackii. Once installed, it would have an option under the Palette menu, below RA2 with Pal Pack II stuff.

Yeah sure. You can turn in my part of Pal Pack I as well. Ive made 95% of it anyway

So, I might be including all Arg's palettes in a new dir and making a command for conversion. But it should be used only with unitXXX.pal units... Anyway, recolouring units will become even easier and quality will be better Smile.

SHP builder can read JASC-PAL files... (since 2.2.... current unreleased ver).

An about box can also b created and added to the menu (giving credits).

EDIT:

Idea: if author allows, turn the pal files into .cscheme, which is currently only used by VXLSE (tho iv been meaning to add it to the SHP Bulder).

This would speed up the process of applying the "changes" from a few mins to a mouse click.......

Note: Since cscheme files are a bitch to write by hand a tool will b made in BS Palette Editor

Note MKII: Cscheme files are a text based file, they are like the colour repalce tool but on a large scale. Changing all colours at once.

PalPack 1 & 2 converted, Also additional ones made. (only ArgCmdr's ones used)

CScheme system works, may add a custom bit later (for user's cscheme if they make any using the Palette Editor)
