Hey guys, if you checked the latest SVN build of VXLSE III, you'll be surprised with a very cool feature: You can import 3ds files as voxel with it.

I did not code this feature from scratch. It simply runs 3ds2vxl and it figures out where the voxel was saved, opening at the voxel editor.

So, the first thing is that it requires ViPr's tool, which is homeless at the moment (as far as I know). But you can grab it in this quick and temporarily link.

There are some important things you must know when you try to import a model with it:

-> The voxelizer must be enabled.
-> Do not use Batch Conversion.

If you miss any of the items above, the program will conclude that you did not generate a voxel or it won't figure out where the voxel was generated.

I hope you guys enjoy this feature. Any feedback is appreciated.

Now you can now import sections from .3ds files as well using 3ds2vxl with VXLSE III. Check Section -> New -> Import from a model using 3ds2vxl.

The latest revision allows you to crop sections. Don't worry about the minimum and maximum bounds when you do it, since the program automatically works them out.

To use this feature, you need the latest SVN Built placed in the directory of the version 1.38 of the program.
