I've got a question.
Subject description: I bet you can't give a real answer, too.
What's with the giant flocks of birds just randomly dropping dead now all around the world?
It's not some sort of flu, that's already determined, but the cause of death of all these birds is blunt trauma. But, I honestly don't believe this. Entire flocks of birds dropping dead from the sky due to beatings? No, that really doesn't make any sense.
It's odd, especially seeing this spreading to other countries now too. And I'm not talking north or south of the border, I'm talking about across the ocean in another continent.
Here's one example. _________________ Okay, my signature was starting to annoy even me. QUICK_EDIT
Two theories I've heard is lightning strike all of them (would be awesome to see) and fireworks being set off giving them a heart attack or or the repercussions of the blast knocking them all from the sky. _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
I'll admit the first one would actually be hilarious to see, but fireworks doesn't seem too plausible. If fireworks were to blame, wouldn't we have heard of this years ago? _________________ Okay, my signature was starting to annoy even me. QUICK_EDIT
The US government was working on Psionic weapons back during the late 60's, but at the time the AI controlling the network of psychic weapons didn't have the capacity to differentiate between incoming aircraft and birds.
The project was eventually canned, but the war on terror has brought back a bunch of old pieces of technology in a bid to adapt it to fighting terrorism. QUICK_EDIT

I think the working theory is fireworks right now, but I read that a few days ago. It's perfectly possible that they flew very close to fireworks, startling them and causing them to fall out the sky and hit the ground, resulting in the blunt trauma. Either that or a hail storm killed them (but I'd imagine they may be used to that sort of thing). _________________

I only read they fell dead from the sky. But were they dead before they hit the ground or because they hit the ground?
If they died when hitting the ground, it's most likely some kind of special natural phenomena, like a change in the polarity of earths gravity, causing for example a problem in the birds natural orientation system.
If they died in midair, it's maybe some kind of strange airhole effect with reduced oxygen, so they became unconscious, hit the ground and died (e.g. a strange concentration of methane and/or carbon dioxide in the atmosphere above cities and farms). _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
@ LKO: That does seem to make more sense than anything else.
I heard earlier that it's "common" for birds to do this, but they went on to explain that the birds usually fly into a building first. So, the media is running in circles.. _________________ Okay, my signature was starting to annoy even me. QUICK_EDIT
Definately not fireworks, otherwise it'd be happening every year and all the time. Lightning strike and hail is very unlikely if its happening across the globe... Lightning and hail has been occuring since before birds even existed, so they're extremely well adjusted (unless this is an extreme change in climate...).
You'd think if 1000 birds fell from the sky (which were not dead in the air) at least a few would survive. Seems to me like they actually died while in flight. QUICK_EDIT
Good job for bringing that attitude into this thread, secret. I'd have to say it wasn't the slightest bit funny, and instead made you look several years your junior. QUICK_EDIT

Reminds me of the Ganzfeld Experiment.
Eh in my own theory I think it's not just nature, shitty global warming, or biochemical weapons. All of what is happening is linked to morphogenetic field. _________________ Ponies are not awesome. Kill all bronies with fire. QUICK_EDIT
Scorched Earth makes a point, its been kinda slow in the news lately so like what they do with sharks every once in a while, they are probably reporting this like its never happened before, which would bring back into plausibility fire works.
Or maybe wifi is starting to get them? Or some other waves/transmissions that we have introduced into recent years? _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
Pretty unusual. Lightning would've toasted them but they appear normal. Firecrackers? I doubt it. I bet its caused by some of you trolls shifting into MAXIMUM OVERTROLL.
Coming back, if Scorched Earth said they committed suicide but did not banged their heads against a wall, how were they able to kill themselves in mid air with nothing? _________________ The future belongs to The Forgotten!
Oh my God! It must be a new, highly dangerous form of Bird Flu!
..Damn, damn, thinking like a reporter again... Must not do.
I only wonder how uniform the birds are, like whether all age groups are effected or whether gender or location play a role. Just sort of wondering whether natural life span has any role in this. QUICK_EDIT
I just remembered watching a documentary about zombies on Nat Geo yesterday evening. One of the possibilities of a zombie apocalypse is viruses. I think this killed the birds...
Inb4 fear mongerin' news about an imminent zombie apocalypse! _________________ The future belongs to The Forgotten!
But while I'm here... Did anyone notice how all the reports on the dying birds just stopped one day? Like it never happened? _________________ Okay, my signature was starting to annoy even me. QUICK_EDIT
There is always something new going wrong for the media to report instead. There's an expiry date on all stories. Once the sudden bird death story reached that amount of time, it was dropped in favour of something more current. QUICK_EDIT
