I can assure you, HyperPatch is not dead, dont worry there! Wink

Now, as many know, my main work computer went bust and im now working from a old Windows 2000 era machine with Windows XP installed, what does not have the best specs around.

This is where it gets interesting, becuase between that and now, i have been concepting and adapting the future of the project. HyperPatch now is now using the Syringe technology, and this opens up so much more, and makes the workload greatly decrease. The project now goes under the codename of "Orca", and at this moment in time i am working on TS++, what contains all the information about the engine i currently know and code to allow me to manipulate all said logics and data variables too. Orca is written ontop of a cut down Ares, and i mean other than a few debugging functions and logics, nothing is left of Ares, but in the future i might bring a few things back in this gets a release out quicker.

So there it is, the project is not dead, but reached a new level, and hopfully once TS++ is done, a few more coders might appear to spread the workload and bring new ideas to the project.

Well could someone just PM me whenever this is released so I can download it and start my wild adventure of modding the TS.

I have a few questions, then.

Yay. I was beginning to worry.

Awesome, will this reduce development speed or increase it?

    Fun name, nice Avi.

Sounds like awesome. Will this mean that Ares code can be adapted backwards into TS, or will you simply be following a similar set of features to Ares?

When my TS++ is done you will have my (badly build, miss-formed) Sword as well as my 1337 novice skillz

I would assume that it would mean the first version would be out sooner than planned (compaired to the original HP) however it will contain less features (as others could implement them with less work)

The comparison to Ares was more about how the patch will work rather than modding feature btw (i may have interpeted that part of your post wrong)

Well, this greatly reduces the time it takes to write and debug features, becuase i write the C code, compile and then run the game, in pretty much 30 seconds. With binary hacking, its such a long process and very time consuming.

With a few exceptions, most of the Ares features can be adapted to work with TS, but i cant use said features unless i get permission, and of course they will be credited, not myself.

Ares is open source, actually. The giant-ass LICENSE-file exists for a reason. Wink

Good luck. Smile

Best of luck with the project. I take it your current avatar will be the logo of the project?

I'm honestly finding it hard to find time to sit down and teach myself C, and that's then taking time away from progressing the project.

Send me a PM and i will explain where i am more.
