Long story short: the original idea was that it's a mineral, but in what form wasn't decided yet. After a discussion with someone, he came up with the geode idea. With this in mind I modelled this. Not dead, just really busy:

WiP Chem Lab model. I will add the base platform to all structures, like most Generals structures had. Makes them look a bit better (and I can add some details on them via textures).

There's a bunch of stuff in that shot, hmm...

Looks to be some TW-inspired Laser turrets up there in the top left, those Flak/Autocannon mewhatsits in the middle, and some Yuri-style Gattling to the bottom right.

Left most is pop-up Laser Cannon, middle is W40k's Hydra turret, and right is Yuri's Gatling Cannon (a remake of the IC version). They are planned to appear in campaigns only.

More updates (belated updates for those who follow the mod on ModDB):

It seems one type of structure we spotted in our previous Intelligence Update have been upgraded with a new type of cannon. Instead of 2 side-hanging cannons it now seems to sport 1 larger cannon.
Rumour says it can even penetrate tank armor with little difficulty. The closest known weapon that looks like this and has the same effect is the 'Avenger' Gatling gun from the A-10 Warthogs, but until we have more information, this is only an assumption...

If this really is what the TI Gatling Tower looks like, I'm going to kill someone #Tongue I tried to come up with a design that wasn't used. It's supposed to be the bastard child of the Yuri Gatling Cannon and the real-life Goalkeeper CIWS.

An alternative model/object of Litenium for mappers to choose from. I plan to have 3 variants of Litenium: normal (left), on a dock (right), and in a bunker/container (no model yet). The normal version can be used anywhere, while the dock version is designed to be used in Urban maps where it looks odd to have heaps of rocks and crystals in a city. The bunker/container version will be designed to be usable in military areas.

Airstrip (finally got a proper model)

Left:

Right:
Venom SSM Launcher (ignore the missing texture wheels)

Left-bottom:
In the front the unupgraded Component Tower and the three different weapon systems (incendiary gun turret, SAM turret, RPG turret), and in the back the three weapons systems with Reinforced Defence upgrade (extra armour + slow autoheal).

Something I came up with while working on the Venom model and thinking out some design for the new Cobra model. Lore-wise, the Cobra (left/back), the Venom (middle), generic Cargo Truck (right/front), and the Valkyrie (not done yet) now share the same truck chassis, the Modular Cargo Truck, or MCT for short. The Cobra has the short 6x6 variant of the MCT, while the others have the longer 8x8 variant to accompany the larger cargo. In essence, the loadouts (missiles for Venom, container for Cargo Truck and repair kit for Valkyrie) can be switched out for each other, creating different vehicles. Obvious exclusion is the Cobra, as it is shorter. Maybe a shorter Cargo Truck variant will be made.
