The power core supplies all Federation bases with power. It utilizes a hydrogen core, with an optional upgrade of another core, increasing output by 75%. The power core if essential in all bases. Without power, production is slowed, defenses are offline, and sensors are useles..

Wicked build-up, it's kind of strange to see the entire building just rise from the ground, though.

All Federation buildings are constructed underground then brought to the surface via lift.

Looks cool except for the surrounding wall IMO, they never look very good on buildings and remember the player can also protect them with walls too.

The texture seems quite plain and the anti-aliasing looks unusual on several of the build-up frames, but overall, a very nice job.

A: Yes, the textures seem plain when zoomed out, but they're actually a bit more complex when zoomed in. I was also going for a more pre-fab, almost modular feel to it. It's the Federation style. (See below image)

B: That I understand, and can't actually fix without tripling the time it takes to render and convert the final products. In simpler terms, it's easier to just render and convert non anti-aliased buildup frames and touch it up on the last two frames of the buildup.

Looks great. Funny thing, that's the exact building method I devised for some factions in my own mod project.

Interesting, very Halo:ish overall design(which is a good thing).

Yea.. Isn't this basically the same concept as the Reactor for Halo Wars?
Comes up out of the ground, same upgrade style as well...
